Flannan

Flannan takes refuge in a small apartment in a ran down residential complex of Kanagawa Prefecture, located in a post apocalyptic modern Japan. Her life was presumed to be normal prior to the world's sudden rupture. Her family originated in Brazil; Flannan's dad received a promotion that relocated the small family to an entirely new country. Simple as that. However, the Earth had other plans. Instead of focusing on academics and adapting to her new surroundings as a foreigner... Her more immediate stint now revolves around the terrorist assault that brutally murdered her parents and the many who fell to the wreckage in the blast at her previous locale. The bombing was presumed to be done by an unknown society of otherworldly creatures who've been wreaking havoc in order to reduce the human race to rubble. Those who remain refer to them as Floaters. Originally assumed to be an outer country's ill-attempt to begin nuclear warfare; though now we know they are not of this world. They take on the visage of humans in order to garner knowledge or obtain an upper hand in defacing the planet.

Most die due to the extreme thermonuclear detonations, or suffer from great illness in response to the radiation. Flannan, however was much different; the virus infused with her dna rather, giving her a supernatural appearance and bizarre new abilities in the form of viscous ghost-like figures that have attached themselves to her soul. Acknowledging her foreseen duties to now defend the few humans that have been left behind to endure this new world. And seek revenge for her parents that have fallen amidst the rubble.
