Valerie anxiously awaits her cue. She hears some approaching footsteps behind her but doesn't dare turn around to see who it is. Somehow she already knows. A soft whisper and a gentle breath on her ear reveal that it's Cleo and her heart skips a beat. "Break a leg, Princess..." Cleo whispers, her mouth almost touching Valerie's cheek. Valerie has no clue if she's being genuine or not in her well wishes, but with all the anxiety fluttering around in her stomach, Valerie chooses to take it positively and a small smile creeps into the corner of her lips before the music swells and her cue arrives. Valerie steps out of the shadows of the wings, away from Cleo, and out into the waiting lights.
