His full name is Dorakyura, a name given to him because of his vampiric tendencies. He is a kitsune- trickster spirits that resemble foxes. He can take on the appearance of a fox and a human. Kyura is one would refer to as a cunning person and a warrior, if needed. Being over 1000 years of age, he has earned his first tail and is on the path to receiving all nine. Despite being over 1000 years of age, Kyura is a charming young man and has retained a handsome youthful look. He carries his trusty blades with him as weapons that are more trustworthy than the simple magic of his kind. In his free time away from civilization, Kyura enjoys nature and tends to be about practicing his blade, perhaps ready to protect a loved one he didn’t know he had.

Despite being several years younger than her, Kyura has given himself the role of being Chiyuki's guardian. While she goes about adventuring and exploring, he would much rather take on the proper role of a spirit guardian and protect someone, even if he is not of the mature age to receive something to watch over.
