Reginald Wallace Rigby, better known as Reggy was born on August 14th, 1979 to his parents Thomas and Molly Rigby, the Rigby family being a wizarding family that is historically known as a family of Hufflepuffs. Reggy was born six years after his brother Roderick and four years after his sister Arabella. Reggy's time as the youngest child was short lived though as a year later his mother gave birth to a set of fraternal twins, Maisy and Myron. Reggy had a relatively normal childhood...for being in a wizarding family; being the middle child meant that he received a great deal of hand-me-down clothing from his older siblings (mostly his older brother Roderick). The only new clothing and items that he ever received were the things that he got for his eleventh birthday when he got his letter from Hogwarts.

On Reggy's tenth birthday, just like all magically inclined children of his age in the United Kingdom, Reggy got his acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and wizardry. This of course prompted his family to take him to Diagon Alley to buy his first year school supplies instead of giving him the hand-me-downs of his older siblings. While there, he was allowed to pick a familiar and so chose to visit Eeylops Owl Emporium to look at the owls. Out of all of the owls there, the one that stuck out to him was a female screech owl who was bursting with personality. He couldn't help but fall in love with her; so ending his search for a familiar, he purchased her for 15 Galleons and went on his way, by the end of the day he would decide to name her Winnie. When Reggy went to Hogwarts, he wasn't very excited for the sorting ceremony as he fully expected to be sorted into Hufflepuff along with the rest of his family. Which is why it surprised Reggy when he turned out to what is known as a "hat stall," the Sorting Hat took over five minutes to sort Reggy into the Gryffindor house, much to Reggy's own surprise, as well as his family's since the Rigby family has always been a long line of Hufflepuffs. During the Sorting Ceremony, he had been expecting to be sorted into Hufflepuff just like everyone else in his family had ever been, but to his surprise, the name of the house the Sorting Hat shouted was Gryffindor, not Hufflepuff.

This detail is something which bothered Reggy a great deal and caused him to feel that he needed to prove himself worthy of the house that he had been sorted into. Which is why he worked hard to be brave and daring, perhaps even a bit foolish as well. His love and talent within the field of Transfiguration is not one that has gone unnoticed and he would quickly become a student that Professor Minerva McGonagall would end up giving extra Transfiguration lessons to. This allowed him to be introduced to the concept of animagi sooner than the typical student, he would go on to teach his friends about animagi and how to become one, leading them to decide to all undergo the process together. When the long process was at last complete, Reggy would end up becoming an animagi whose animal form would be that of a dog, specifically a Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd mix. With all of his friends being successful as well, they ended up forming what they called the Top Secret Animagi Club on campus.

Together, he and his friends would get up to a great deal of mischief and almost always getting away with it because their pursuits weren't noticed even half as much as the Weasley twins or Harry Potter and his friends. That's certainly not to say that they weren't any less dangerous or even less fool-hardy either, nor that they didn't have important problems to solve using their abilities. Reggy would go on to register himself as an animagi and would graduate from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with top grades. Eventually, he would end up working for the Ministry of Magic as an Auror. Reggy will eventually go on to get married and have kids of his own, to whom he would often tell the stories of his youth, these stories would all eventually become published books.

Wand [ Magic ]
Reggy's wand is an acacia wood wand with a unicorn hair core, it is 12 ¼" long and has a slightly yielding flexibility. He obtained this wand from Olivander's Wand Shop in Diagon Alley when he was eleven years old. Olivander quite mysteriously informed him that he must be destined for great things to be paired with such a wand.

Winnie [ Familiar ]
Winnie is Reggy's familiar/pet, she is a female Eastern screech owl that he got from Eeylops Owl Emporium in Diagon Alley. She is essentially a mail carrier, but she's also a beloved pet for Reggy. Her favorite treats happen to be Owl Nuts and Eeylops Premium Owl Treats, which Reggy tries to have an ample supply of to be able to give her whenever she delivers mail to him as well as for special occassions.
