starscape

starscape is an older night-icewing mindreader and animus. in her youth, she was part of a revolution in the night kingdom to overthrow queen loris; afterwards, she ran away, and has been living alone in the mountains since.

shes willing to offer her animus magic services to anyone with enough treasure, because she hoards the stuff - she also might have some other motives for collecting so much. she wears an enchanted necklace that keeps her soul safe.

she is a very kind dragon, and will accept anyone who manages to enter her cave. she is prone to being snappy with dragons who mistreat her though (insults, disrespect, etc).

starscape is somewhat of a legend among the tribes, but her myth varies. most say she’s an ancient ghost who will do mystical favors for the living in turn for payment; others claim her to be a fallen goddess trying to return to the heavens with tribute. nightwings avoid talking about her. in reality shes just got a big heart and cant stand to see others hurting when she could help them (she was very spiteful in her youth, but after the horrific failed rebellion, she gained a lot more compassion & empathy).

the one thing she refuses to do is murder or injure another dragon who doesnt rightly deserve it.

the trek to her cave is a terrible climb, for she lives in a cavern near a mountain peak that is enchanted to hide itself from dragons wishing to harm her. if she becomes distressed, storms also form around it. she has a pet wolf, dubbed “silver” whose enchanted to bring her food and water every evening. silver is also immortal until starscape says otherwise.

she eventually sends alderfly and his companions to pantala with her magic.
