Profile
Silvertiger
"???"
— ?? to ??
The daughter of Brightsoul, a descendant of the renowned "Thornheart" - Founding leader of the "League" and once public enemy number 1 of the clans. This alone would have been quite the reputation for Silvertiger to uphold, had her other mother not been Irisclaw, once deputy of Streamclan when Fogstar first stepped up as leader.
Despite this, Silvertiger doesn't let the expectations hold her back. She's tiny and mighty! With a sharp tongue to back it.
Relationship Opportunities:
- Former apprentices! There is a section of time between 35 moons ago and 12 moons ago where Silvertiger could have easily mentored someone before she got depressed.
- Current apprentice. Silvertiger is open to taking on a new apprentice! Now that she's experienced, she's a bit more confident...but little does she know a new cat means a new set of challenges.
- Lovers! Can be just a situationship, flirtationship, or a legit relationship. Silvertiger is open to all!
- Past lovers: Especially between 35-12 moons ago Silvertiger can date more than just Kitejaw!
- Enemies: She's the granddaughter of the terrifying Thornheart, and was pretty close to the Rookshadow drama. Could someone suspect the fact she's Tigerbite's friend and believe she was shielding him?
Possible plots:
1. Determined to stay positive: Silvertiger has settled on her own form of "revenge" against the Haven. It's clear to her that the cult is trying to bring down cats' morale, so she's determined to do everything in her power to brighten cats' days! Close to multiple caretakers, she's likely to make use of her connections to create surprise gifts. Will this bring a smile and warm your cat's heart?

History
"Friends are important, friends will protect you from others, be there for you when you're sad. Making friends as kits is super important, as they'll follow you into your adulthood" ― Brightsoul to Silverkit & Chestnutkit.
Still, she wasn't unhappy with her one friend. Especially when, as she grew, it became truly apparent to her parents that she had dwarfism and wouldn't grow up to be like her brother, unlikely to be able to keep up with a bigger friend group. Ebonykit was kind and patient, happy to stick by Silverkit. She was the only friend she needed - and this alone comforted Brightsoul. Her mother would pay special attention to the two kits, often engaging in their antics. She did her best to shield her little daughter from the troubles of the world, but as she grew, Silverkit would catch the worried murmurs of her mothers. Trouble was brewing across Streamclan's borders... her cousin "Swiftstar", leader of Stoneclan, was acting increasingly erratic. Both were worried that their kids would experience similar dangerous apprenticeships to what they had under Thornheart's terror.
These worries made Silverkit all the more curious - what was life like for the apprentices? She'd try to spy on them as they hung out in camp, her interest particularly falling upon Ashpaw - a pretty snow-lynx bengal she-cat. Unlike Dimpaw, Lionpaw, and Tigerpaw, who showed no interest in entertaining the young kit, Ashpaw was willing to answer Silverkit's questions. Stoneclan was crossing Streamclan's land to go on crusades against neo-leagues, rogue factions who had formed after breaking away from the original League after the death of Silverkit's grandfather. Swiftstar was cleaning up Thornheart's mess. Why would Streamclan want to stop them?
These mixed messages left Silverkit uncertain - was becoming an apprentice in these times something to truly be worried about? But at the same time... she wouldn't know until she was one. It left her with one path: enjoy her kithood while it lasted...
"It isn't 'infantilizing them' to want apprentices to avoid the kind of trauma we went through as kids! Rosefang is not taking my daughter on crusades. I expect you to respect that and leave Ebonypaw and Silverpaw out of this. Besides, they're younger than Ashpaw - if you want to put her through the 'harsh realities of war', then don't drag the rest of them into this" ― Brightsoul to Shadowthorn.
Silverpaw would begin her apprentice training under the tutelage of Rosefang, none other than Ashpaw's mother. Her mate, "Rookshadow," would mentor Chestnutpaw - the two warriors' distinctive mentoring approach further divided the siblings. Rookshadow was a renowned warrior, a powerful warrior who frequently volunteered to join Stoneclan on their crusades, taking Chestnutpaw along. Rosefang, however, held a strong stance that aligned more with Silverpaw and Chestnutpaw's parents: She firmly believed that apprentices were too young to be thrust into traumatic experiences like life-and-death battles. The crusades in themselves were disturbing to her. Why would you expect young cats to be faced with such bloodshed?
Silverpaw's short legs also made her learning curve more difficult. In training, an apprentice could easily press their paw against her head, and she wouldn't be able to reach their chest. Brute force and the usual techniques would not work for her. Instead, Rosefang would focus more on unusual combat maneuvers her apprentice could feasibly pull in battle to overcome her enemy without the use of strength and stamina. Twisting, Silverpaw would learn to move nimbly like a river, her lessons were supplemented by ambush training - a key aid in hunting and combat.
As Silverpaw's training continued, her friend group would grow. Ebonypaw and Silverpaw would become close friends with older apprentice "Owlpaw" - a quirky she-cat who served as a tempering force to Tigerpaw. Ashpaw's brother served as a friendly rival to Silverpaw, a cat with whom she could test her new lessons against. He was stronger than her, but his rough-and-tumble mannerism offered her a close-to-real combat experience that she didn't get by staying out of the crusades. Owlpaw, who was close to Tigerpaw, quickly became like an older sister figure to Ebony and Silver. She was odd - her behavior pushing some cats away, but it only made Silverpaw cherish her more. These were the kind of cats she saw as ideal friends, nothing like the clique Chestnutpaw had formed around himself - a clique that was already falling apart on itself as Murkpaw's brother, "Dimpaw," would join Stoneclan for more extensive training. Silverpaw felt nothing but distaste for Chestnutpaw's friends, especially Murkpaw, with whom her brother was competing to garner Ebonypaw's attention.
"WIP" ―?? to ??.
Now that they were adults, Silvertiger would finally gather up the courage to approach her brother. She’d caught her sibling gossiping about Ebonyflower, agreeing with his rival that they’d respect that Ebonyflower explicitly wanted to experience a long and full warriorhood before picking a mate and settling down. Silvertiger too would pull her brother aside, expressing criticism at how tired she was that he was going after “her” friend. She’d kept her mouth shut as apprentices, but now she would put up with his “childish” antics. Quickly enough Chestnutnight would glean that Silvertiger had once had a crush on Ebonyflower, and was annoyed that the siblings had been unknowingly competing in the romance department. She’d let him have his shot – but would not longer hold her tongue about her thoughts in his approach to seeking a partner.
Along with her brother, Silvertiger found herself engaging her other mother, Irisclaw, more. The former deputy had shifted roles into that of a caretaker, and had been expecting her daughter to do the same considering the more “peaceful” approach to her warrior training. Silvertiger rebuked this offer – respecting the role but seeing herself as a capable warrior despite her small size. She’d vent about the matter to Rosefang, who’d advise she not take her mother’s mess-up to heart, Irisclaw meant well even if she went about it badly. Besides… one should enjoy the company of one’s mother while it lasted.
Those words had perhaps been an ominous warning, advice to connect with a supportive figure from someone who knew something was going to hit them… Just a few moons later Rosefang would disappear inexplicably, leaving no sign that she’d ever return… Silvertiger would mourn her, lashing out in grief and pain. She should have known, should have expected something, been there longer with her mentor, perhaps looked after her…
At least someone had vengeance for the loss…
To everyone’s shock, Tigerbite would return to Streamclan camp carrying his body. Apparently, Rookshadow had attempted to murder him, planning to revive Thornheart’s old League ways of “The Price of One's Freedom is the Life of another"- Which involves using the life of one cat (aka killing them) as a way to earn the freedom of the warrior code. His earlier victim: Rosefang.
Tension would remain after the event, these killings especially weighing heavily on Silvertiger and her family. Brightsoul was Thornheart’s daughter, she had lost her mother to the rule, and seen many families torn apart because of it. She had never wished for such a loss to befall her daughter, but what was worse was the suspicion that remained. Irisclaw would become their biggest support, a cat who understood their troubles, and someone who Silvertiger could lean on. She finally understood what her mentor meant, and felt as if by connecting with Irisclaw she was fulfilling Rosefang’s last wish.
Even four moons after the fact cats were still eying Silvertiger, her family and friends with nervousness. It didn’t help that Ashheart’s mentor, Shadowthorn, had PTSD from the League and nearly completely cut ties with his former apprentice. Their brother, Lionbriar would even go as far as to accuse Tigerbite of being “disingenuous”, and having been intentionally trying to take Rookshadow’s place in the plan. That was enough for Silvertiger to speak up – in her grief she had distanced herself from the situation, but hearing her friend absurdly called out like that she’d snap. She knew that Rosefang had anticipated her death, but she had never shown any fear of her own son. She was positive if there had been something, Silvertiger would have picked it up. Faced with resistance, Lionbriar would furiously abandons the clan for Stoneclan.
Silvertiger would be so caught up in the grief and tension that she’d miss the drama that was occupying Ebonyflower. Turned out Chestnutnight’s friend “Cedartail” had devised a plan to become deputy, encouraging their peers to have kits and successfully pressuring Pipitnose and Fowltooth to official get together. When the two’s child “Jaykit” was to be apprenticed – it was not to Cedartail or even Chestnutnight, it was to Ebonyflower. Silvertiger was completely blindsided by the news, only hearing that there was unrest about the decision after catching Cedartail ranting to the newly made apprentice’s father that “Obviously Fogstar is biased. Our leader favors her own granddaughter over more capable mentors.”. The comment would draw out Silvertiger’s fury, and she’d manage to chase the two toms out of the warrior’s den with their sick comments.
Seeking Ebonyflower out, Silvertiger would find her friend returning from a “mission”. Silvertiger would be told that a full breakdown would be given after the drama was dealt with, her friend seeking Chestnutnight as support instead. Silvertiger would only hear after the fact that together Chestnutnight, Murkfoot and Ebonyflower would they’d put up a front to shut Fowltooth and Cedartail down. The discussion was closed.
Behind the scenes Silvertiger would be given the lay-down. Pipitnose had been miserable this whole time, and after Jaypaw become Ebonyflower’s apprentice her friend had helped the mother to sneak out of camp to the safety of the twolegplace. It was now Ebonyflower’s duty to guide the kid down a path that was…nothing like what Cedartail and company had envisioned for him…
As much as Silvertiger would have loved to assist her best friend with Jaypaw and Fowltooth’s problems, her paws would quickly become full with an apprentice of her own: an ex-kittypet called “Sudoku”, eventually named Petrichorpaw. The timing of her apprentice’s arrival couldn’t be worse. With Pipitnose’s departure, words calling her a “traitor to the warrior code” for picking the life of a kittypet were spreading through Streamclan. Tolerance and respect for kittypets were at an all time low. Silvertiger would find herself struggling with the burden that came with turning a kittypet into a “respectable warrior”. Petrichorpaw had to be perfect, but as if other’s predictions of twoleg pets were true: her friend apprentice was slow.
Silvertiger’s early training with Petrichorpaw would be…a struggle. New to mentoring, Silvertiger lacked the patience. When her apprentice would repeatedly fail to perform what she thought was a “simple crouching position”, Silvertiger would give up on the training, sending Petrichorpaw back to Streamclan camp as she tried to cool off.
For the next several moons, Silvertiger would struggle to see any progress in her apprentice’s training. She couldn’t get the assistance of Ebonyflower, as her friend was caught up trying to wrestle Jaypaw’s training away from an interfering Fowltooth – anything that brought Jaypaw close to Petrichorpaw would just bring out the obvious comments of “of course your apprentice is slow, that’s her kittypet blood slowing her down”. As much as she tried to ignore those judgements, her own struggles in size and clashing personalities delayed things even more. She was just about ready to give up and ask Fogstar to hand Petrichorpaw to someone else when Brightsoul would offer illuminating advice: Had her daughter considered how much Rosefang had worked to adapt to Silvertiger’s mutation? She was no different from a kittypet – an oddity to the clans. Yet, she had shone as brightly as the stars. How had Rosefang succeeded? By being compassionate, and patient. Brightsoul encouraged her daughter to reach out, speak directly with her apprentice, to work out together what they wanted to focus on in training.
After an awkward start, the mentor and apprentice would finally be able to talk it out and come to find a common ground. Through their careful conversation, Silvertiger would come to learn that Petrichorpaw felt burdened by the expectations that had been set on her by their training. The young she-cat was drawn to the duties of a caretaker, rather than that of a warrior. Silvertiger was shocked. That was it? It was that easy? She found no problem rearranging their training regiment to assist her apprentice in her wishes, especially with the advice of Irisclaw who gladly saw it as an opportunity to connect with her daughter when Silvertiger’s path had previously diverged. Training would be smooth sailing from then on, with Silvertiger and her family happily shouting Petrichorshower’s name when she finally graduated.
Silvertiger was glad to receive a much-needed break from apprentice training. She’d set her sights on something new: romance. She’d long since moved on from Ebonyflower, who had since ditched Chestnutnight to finally settle down with Murkfoot. She felt testy about her crush on Ashheart, especially after the lingering doubt over her close friends’ silence over Rookshadow’s attempt to revive the League. Had she been involved in any manner? She dared not ask… Instead, Silvertiger would set her sights on flirting with other pretty ladies. She’d enter a flirtationship with a pretty Stoneclan molly called “Kitejaw”. The two would go on a couple of dates before deciding to break off on friendly terms. Kitejaw was polite about it, explaining that she had to dedicate her time to mentoring an apprentice of her own rather than focus on pushing their relationship into anything serious. Last thing she wanted was to play with another’s feelings and waste Silvertiger’s time. The two would stay friends, could even toy with flirting – but never proceed to anything serious.
Silvertiger would graciously let the Stoneclanners go, only to find her DAMN BROTHER STEALING HER CRUSHES AGAIN! Swooping in none to subtly (in front of their apprentices and everything), Chestnutnight would ask Kitejaw on a date. Joyfully: She accepted! Silvertiger would do her best to warn her friend that she was making a grave mistake, but in the end… it was for her to know and Kitejaw to find out. Suffice to say: This was the last date. Silvertiger got the satisfaction and HOWLED with laughter when her brother recounted her the experience. As miffed as she was about the move, this was more an amusing joke to her, than anything offending. “If I don’t stand a chance, you don’t!” she told him. She loved her cringe brother nonetheless, even if he’d now tried to steal her crushes twice.
Silvertiger would continue to enjoy short but sweet relationships. None would settle down the way Ebonyflower had with Murkfoot, in fact – her friend had gone as far as to have a kit: Cinderkit! Silvertiger celebrated her friend’s accomplishments, but didn’t feel ready to do the same. Her mothers had waited to have their kits, and so she was in no rush to find the right she-cat, and eventually settle down for a family.
The calm wouldn’t last long, tensions between other clans would break out when Shallowclan would march on Lakeclan to the shock of the other clans. They had their reasons - but as far as Streamclan was concerned this was an unfounded invasion of a clan’s camp. Redstar would send a patrol to break things up, Silvertiger volunteering to join as she saw that both her mothers chose to intervene. Brightsoul and Irisclaw seemed to understand a bit more that was at play than much of Streamclan. The two were perceptive – seemingly picking up on something deeper at play. Even Irisclaw was concerned, stepping beyond her duties as Caretaker to participate in a war.
If only they had spoken up. The move would be a political nightmare. Turned out Sagestar had led his cats to take down a cult leader “Ashjump”, Streamclan’s intervention allowed her and her allies to escape. In the fray, one of the cultists had killed Brightsoul, tearing one of his mothers’ away. A witness to the whole thing, Silvertiger would grieve through anger – swearing revenge upon the cult. The loss would cause a grieving Irisclaw to move permanently into the elder’s den.
Revenge would have to wait…as more loss was soon to come. Not even three moons later, a small outbreak of greencough spreads across Streamclan, taking the lives of Murkfoot – tearing Ebonyflower’s family apart. Feeling a duty towards her friend after failing to support her during Jaycrest’s apprenticeship, Silvertiger would reach out to offer a shoulder for her friend to lean on, gladly spending time with Cinderkit while Petrichorshower helped tend to the nursery when the queen needed some rest. That wouldn’t be all, the disease would also snatch the life of Streamclan’s deputy “Flintspark”. Jaycrest would be nominated as deputy, despite objections from…to no one’s surprise: Fowltooth.
As if she couldn’t suffer more heartache, foxes would invade Streamclan territory. Experienced in the past, Ebonyflower would volunteer to lead a patrol to drive them out - crushed when the fox's den collapsed on top of her. The loss so soon after Brightsoul’s would devastate Silvertiger. For a long time, she’d withdraw from socializing entirely. Gatherings? No thanks. Even the Harvest Hunting festivities felt numb to her. Her wake-up call: Hallow’s Eve.
As everyone was celebrating ghost apparitions, and honoring the dead – Silvertiger would be met with the dreadful realization: Brightsoul was nowhere to be seen. She’d reconnect with Ebonyflower, touch noses with Rosefang. But her own mother? Not a word. In the fit of concern and confusion, Irisclaw would pull her aside. Brightsoul had a secret – one that both had agreed not to burden Silvertiger with if she showed no sign of having a connection. Turned out, her mother had a cursed heritage, inherited from both sides of her family – she was a borderless. The borderless cursed was passed on from parent to child, barring cats from Starclan and the Darkforest. When she died – only then would Silvertiger reunite with her mother. The catch? She’d never get to see Ebonyflower, Rosefang or even Irisclaw in Starclan. The truth pained her, more than the confusion had. Would she be able to find happiness? Would she be able to connect with someone knowing they would be separated in death? She thanked her mother for it, deciding from that day that she’d visit her mother as much as she could…enjoy the time she’d have with Irisclaw while it lasted. If she had to fear the consequences of a cursed death – then her only way was to make the most of her life.
Silvertiger would come out of her shell after this, determined not to let the terrors of the world around her phase her. The Haven seemed out to cause pain – setting up traps, leaving signs and later assassinating cats. They were clearly trying to bring down the moral, and Silvertiger had decided how she’d enact her revenge: she’d stand firm, stay positive and not let them bring her down.
And this is where her story continues…
Detailed Appearance
Silvertiger is an oddball in her family. Born with achondroplasia dwarfism, she was born with short legs, towered over by her brothers and clanmates. It is theorized that this was passed from her grandmother, Bramblefrost, down through Brightsoul, but what stands out as odder is their daughter's heterochromia: blue and amber eyes. Her amber colors are reminiscent of her other grandmother, Windtide, while her blue eye is a mystery. All in all, the rest of her is "normal" - her grey coat colors taking after Irisclaw and her aunt Sunfire. Her fur length and pelt texture are very akin to Brightsoul's.

Ceremonies
Silverkit grinned at her brother as her name was called first - eagerly stepping forward as the Streamclan leader spoke her name, "Silverkit. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Silverpaw."
The apprentice followed her leader's gaze as Fogstar's attention focused on a tall sleek molly, "Rosefang, you will be the mentor of Silverpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her".
Personality
+Confident +Witty +Astute +-Flamboyant +-Outspoken +-Perfectionist -Opportunistic -Fiery -Impatient
Silvertiger may be small in size, but she’s got a large personality to balance it. She carries herself with a striking confidence that commands attention and holds a sharp tongue as sharp as her claws. Witty, she’s always ready with a clever quip or a sharp observation that leaves others both impressed and sometimes a little unnerved – especially her brother Chestnutnight. Silvertiger embraces her uniqueness with a bold flamboyance, never afraid to make a statement. She's outspoken, having no trouble voicing her opinions through words or actions.
Astute, Silvertiger is able to quickly read situations and others. She relies on her intelligence and observation skills to make up for her weaker hunting and combat abilities. Her charming demeanor coupled with this skill gives her an edge in both conversation and strategy.
However, Silvertiger's perfectionism can sometimes create friction with others, as she holds herself to incredibly high standards and expects the same from those around her. Her impatient personality especially can clash with others, as she is easily bored and keen to move on. This can cause her to act impulsively, to the detriment of her image and relationships. Finally, this fiery temper of hers can make her off-putting – she stands tall, has a sharp bite, and will use it if you’re not careful! All in all, Silvertiger is tiny, mean, and doesn’t like to wait around!!
