Zenith

About Zenith:

    Zenith belongs to an order of monks called Tindermen. They are owl/moth like beings that carry lanterns and are in tune with the Earth and its energies. Zenith's job is to find those who's spirits glow bright enough to become a hero. Spirits can't be seen in the daytime, but only at night, which is why his eyes change. He gives the person in question, a test by asking them what it is they wish for. If the wish is for selfish reasons Zenith leaves with words of advice about their character. If the deed is purely for good, he will give them the key, which leads them to one of 7 weapons that were once forged by the high gods.

The key itself is magical in that it will guide the carrier to their destination. If the key is stolen, the person being guided is brought to their demise. Once the key is inserted into the vestibule that holds a god-weapon, the key disappears, returning to Zenith. While his key is gone, Zenith returns to the monk's owlrey and rests while the monks take care of his every need.

Zenith and the monks serve each other in a mutual relationship, as the Tindermen do not leave their sanctuary from atop the icy cliffs.
