Personality: Don't let that innocent, kid like, behavior fool you, it's all a scam. Dandy is a master of cunning, good enough to fool people even her own family is a little scared of it. Dandy is brutal, enjoying going through anything in order to get what she or her family wants. Shes a mastermind plans but when it comes to social smarts, she lacks them a lot. Anything can be solved with violence and, in her eyes, unless absolutely necessary, anything else doesn't work. Doesn't cooperate with anyone outside of her family unless she's getting something out of it. Manipulated her way into the Brotherhood of Steel and was successful in joining their ranks. As paladin, then sentinel, she was cruel to those in the BOS way and a righteous leader, although her methods were unorthodox, they were effective. Nobody suspected her to be an ex-raider. Dandy doesn't consider herself to be a lonely person, which suits her fine, she doesn't need them.

Story: Dandy was stolen from Megaton as a baby by a group of drunken raiders for a bet. They didn't put her back and, instead of returning the child, decided to raise her as one of their own. She grew to prove that this indeed, for the raiders, was a great idea as the child was smart and a good strategist. Dandy and her family went and pulled a trick on Lone and stole all of his things, then he stole them back. After a long period of time, they confronted the Lone Wanderer again and he killed everyone but Dandy.

Dandy was furious and grieving, left with her families bodies until a group of the Outcasts came by. She offered them shelter for the night and begged them to let her join, painting herself as a lost girl who got taken by raiders that had killed each other in a brawl. They dejectedly accepted, then realized it was a good thing for Dandy had many much needed talents when it came to proper strategy. She got herself well established with the group before they were re-intergraded into the BOS. In the BOS, she rose to the rank of paladin and was well respected as a good leader, while still harboring her revenge for the Lone Wanderer. Although she didn't show it, she became obsessed with finding him, searching for that damned face on patrols and visits to towns and cities, but never finding the man she was looking for.

Elder Maxson promoted her to Sentinel when he decided to leave for the Commonwealth, leaving her in charge of the Capital Wasteland's branch of the Brotherhood of Steel. She doubled her efforts of finding the Lone Wanderer and grew furious when she realizes he had been gone for years, left for some reason she didn't know. She ended up searching for anything that could guarantee her victory against him instead, looking for anything she could use to hurt him like he had hurt her. She learned about his past, kicked all of the Vault Dwellers out of Vault 101, terrorized the towns her frequented, until she made her way to Raven Rock where she found the still surviving, yet deactivated AI of President Eden. She took the AI back to the Citadel and uses it, along with the technology she found at Vault 112, used the ex-Enclave leader as a source to torture BOS prisoners.

Dandy Withers finally got her chance for revenge when the Lone Wanderer showed up at the Citadel along with some of his friends, one of them notably a controversial member of the Brotherhood of Steel known with interacting, leading, and working with groups the Brotherhood does not necessarily get along with and even downright villainize. Dandy hatched a plan and took the person, Sole, prisoner and forced the others out of the Citadel, set to torture the Sole Survivor into pleading guilty and set for execution. Dandy has Sole plugged into the machine and, after time, grows more furious as Eden's "attempts" (in actuality lack thereof) didn't work at getting a faked confession from the paladin. She decides to go through with it anyway but is thwarted by Lone and the others he arrived with. Dandy reveals herself and Lone and the others escape, leaving her mad and resentful.

Dandy tries to get Sole, Lone, and the others arrested but instead she is lectured by Maxson about taking initiative for dealing with the Sole Survior and never to do something like that again. Enraged, Dandy destroys the memory pods.

Dandy eventually is promoted to Elder and is given the Capital wasteland as her own. To the Capital wasteland, she is a tyrant, a murderer, and nobody misses her when she is gone. To the BOS, she was a valuable member and respectable leader, although there was something that wasn't quite right after the Lone Wanderer left the Capital wasteland, this time for good.
