Ariella was always told that she was different from other people. Born in a small city in the Galar region, her family moved to Castelia City when she was an infant. Her father being a wealthy businessman, opened up a prestigious school in the city with big plans for his daughter. Music lessons, student council, and many other activities were a part of her daily life until the stress led to her developing insomnia at 11. While at school, Ariella would meet and befriend a girl by the name of Tiffini Millward. Happy that she had found friends in Tiffini and her group of friends, Ari wouldn’t learn until three years later what her “best friend” really thought of her; a pretentious, annoying bitch who would always have everything handed to her but at the same time, hanging to Ari to reap the benefits of their friendship.

Upon the reveal, Ariella found herself dedicating herself to her studies to fill the void of being friendless and even signing up for the school’s inaugural Trainer courses. Upon graduating a year earlier, Ari’s father had planned for her to go to a boarding college to have her study to become a teacher. Unfortunately for him, she had applied to take part in a journey in a completely new region. After debating, her father reluctantly agreed to let her go but he still waits for the day she realizes that her journey is nothing but a waste of time. Now on the road, Ariella is ready to make friends and experience the real world and some form of freedom away from her parents and high society.
