Slush

Slush is an adventurous tomboy & avid fisherwoman. She started fishing when she was as young as three years old, accompanying her father out on the water for the daily catches, and fell in love with the sea and aquatic life. She grew up on the island of Garuda in a massive oceanic salt-water lake known as the Azure Expanse. Now as an adult, she often travels far distances across the continent on her own to fish in as many places as she can, always in hopes of pulling up something big or even something new. She dreams of catching & cataloguing every fish there is. 

Thanks to her experience and wide breadth of knowledge, she’s sometimes been called in by the Expeditioner’s Guild for assistance with aquatic monsters that make themselves a nuisance to the ecosystem or port towns & island villages. In exchange, they often pay her a sum of gold and, more valuable to her, tips on rarely-visited or completely unexplored lakes, rivers, etc where she can try her hand at fishing. Some are even underground or even in dungeons like The Durrow.

Slush also comes from a line of Summoners (on her mother’s side). Summoners are a rather uncommon sort already, able to call forth entities from other worlds to aid them in battle or for performing serious tasks. Slush's form of summoning is unusual among summoners though, as it consists of casting her magic fishing rod; the hook and lure vanishing into thin air until she reels in her summoned creature, appearing out of nothing. Slush tries to keep her magic on the down-low though, only using it as a last resort since she doesn't have a great handle on it.
