His Abilities
An experienced fighter with a few tricks up his sleeve
Innate magic |
| Night's innate magic allows him to dive into shadows and move particularly quickly in them. If a shadow he is currently in disappears, he is thrown out of it at high speed. As long as he moves within a shadow, he is completely invisible. However, if it stands still, his eyes are visible in the shadow. |
| At level 2, Night can take other Magari with him into the shadows, whether voluntarily or involuntarily. |
| At level 3, he can cause other Magari in his immediate vicinity to sink into shadow without having to be in shadow himself. |
Spells |
| Night is one of the few Magari who cannot use spells. |
Physical ability |
| Night is dexterous and can move quickly and responsively in order to dodge dangers and attacks as effectively as possible in combination with his innate magic. |
| He has very keen perception. |
Unison |
| He kan use the innate magic of Ruby. |
Meet Night!
The reserved guy you can rely on
Name: | Night | ![]() |
Gender: | Male | |
Age: | Young adult | |
Element: | Shadow | |
Residence: | Blue village
Occupation: | Fighter / Advisor
Hobbys: | Lurking in the shadows / Friendly fights against Slash |
| How would he describe himself in one sentence? |
| I try not to cause trouble while reliably carrying out my orders and protecting my village. |
| How would others describe him in one sentence? |
| You don't get to see much of him, but those who do don't seem to dislike him and are mostly happy with him. |
| Physical characteristics |
| Almost his entire body is covered in the same shade of gray. Only the tips of his ears and the tip of his tail are slightly lighter. His eyes have a bright blue hue that can be seen even when he is immersed in shadow. Except for his tail, his fur is rather below average in length and fluffiness. |
| Frequently worn accessories |
| He wears a wooden bracelet on his right front leg, into which an elemental pearl can be inserted. This is a very common accessory in his village and he only wears it in case he happens to come into possession of a pearl. He has no emotional attachment to the bracelet. He also wears the symbol of his village on his right shoulder, as is required of all the inhabitants of his village. As he is proud to be part of the blue village, he is just as proud to wear its symbol. For a long time, Night is afflicted with the duty spell of the blue village. This appears as a glowing blue collar whenever he thinks of the duty that has been imposed on him. This duty is to kill Ruby. |
| Important traits |
| He doesn't warm up to others very quickly, but once you get to know him better, he's a loyal friend. Even when you know him better, he is mostly very serious. This is because he often works closely with his leader, who demands this behavior from him. He is moderately patient, but does not get frustrated when his patience runs out, instead he simply leaves the situation that is costing him his patience. What pushes him to the limit of his patience from time to time is his interest in things he doesn't understand. He is not overly inquisitive, but when he notices something that he cannot explain, he is too determined to find out what it's all about. He is also at odds with himself under the command of his leader, as he feels obliged to carry out all orders conscientiously, even though they sometimes go against his morals or logic. Like most shadow elements, he does not particularly like bright light. |
His Story
Arrived in his village as a orphan - Banished from his village as a traitor
Backstory |
| Night is the son of Sky (from the Green Village) and Star (from the Blue Village). Their relationship was frowned upon by the Green Village and forbidden by the Blue Village. His father, Sky, nevertheless spoke with Stiro and Hira to bring his partner and son to the Green Village. During this time, Star hid in the forest with the still-unnamed and only days-old Night. However, their hiding place was discovered by Amber. Star was no match for the overwhelmingly strong Amber and died in the ensuing battle. Only afterward did Amber notice that a young boy was nearby. Since she herself had recently become a mother, she couldn't simply abandon him, so she guarded young Night until he was found by Oras. Amber convinced Oras to take him to the Blue Village. There, Night was placed with Slash's family and given his name, where he was raised for a while before receiving his own house at the start of his schooling. Even so, he still spent a lot of time at Slash's house. Word spread through the village that Night's parents had betrayed the village and been banished. Night is teased at school for this and becomes withdrawn. The teasing isn't helped by the fact that, unlike almost everyone else, Night has never successfully cast a spell. Not even during the grand magic and spell ritual did a single spell work for him. Slash, however, stays by his side and is disappointed that the teachers aren't doing anything about it. So he decides to become a teacher himself and do better, while Night continues his regular combat training. In this way, their lives drift somewhat apart, but they remain best friends. To improve his standing in the village, Night throws himself into all his tasks, but his withdrawn nature persists. He also develops a dislike for traitors, as he believes everything would be better if his parents hadn't been traitors. Veit sees Night's efforts and is a big fan of his aversion to traitors. Therefore, he occasionally gives him special assignments and lets him be present during negotiations with traitors. Night's reputation isn't very high, but he's proud that at least the leader respects him to some extent, even if he often has to do the dirty work for him. |
