having spent a childhood feared by their parents and their community, their teenage years on their own, and several months hunted by the steel garrote, alke is skittish and wary like any wild animal, with a tendency to bite when they feel cornered.
though a loner preferring their solitude, alke has adopted a charming, roguish persona among kith. they're a practiced liar, skilled in deception and in finding the right place in someone's back to put a knife.
as a scout and wanderer, they are also intelligent, perceptive, and cunning, with a bright streak of curiosity. they prefer to go with the flow and generally do what is asked of them without allowing their own opinions to get in the way. they are not particularly book-smart, nor do they care to be.
alke is no stranger to doing what they must to survive, and respects those who do the same, though they will always prioritize their own desires over others'.
