Profile
Anna has a good heart. She's kind, bubbly, always externally looking on the bright side and staying positive, even if internally she's a bit more serious. She loves to make everyone smile, and finds joy in doing things for others - whether that be a helpful chore, offering a thoughtful gift, or just spending quality time together. Anna is fairly successful at socializing, but she never feels especially close to anyone; she knows all the families who visit the nursery and all her neighbors, but has no small peer friend group of her own.
While she might not come off as the most serious of aktego, Anna places great importance on her job and is deeply dedicated to the well-being of the eggs and hatchlings under her care. She's observant, detail-oriented, and remembers everything about her wards. Her continued smiling isn't a sign of excessive innocence, but rather to keep the young ones she looks after feeling positive too.
Around her parents, Anna wilts a little. She wishes she knew how to connect with them better, but their research goes over her head and they have little time for anything else. She tries her best to gain their attention by doing thoughtful things for them, but she has little success. She's always reminding herself that their jobs are important to the ship's workings and that's why they don't have the time. It just hurts, to feel that she's not important to them too.
History
Anna grew up an only child, and the daughter of two dedicated researchers. While her parents were essential to the ship, she was merely brought along as their family for the long journey. Despite her presence, her parents still spent much of their time dedicated to their work, and Anna often fell to the sidelines and was left alone - or to spend time with her neighbors.
As she grew up, her familiarity with the neighbor families led many to trust her to babysit their own hatchlings, a role which she took as seriously as if they were her own blood. Anna was excellent with younger aktego, and it was through a neighbor's suggestion that she ended up on the career path of nursery attendant. While any caretaking role is essential to the ship, not everyone views it this way, and Anna is generally considered low-ranking and unimportant.
Anna loves her job, though, and she loves taking care of the eggs and hatchlings of the ship. She cares little for her formal rank on the station - if anything, perhaps it's a good thing that the higher-ups ignore her. She's too unimportant to be a threat, too cheerful to be suspicious. No one will notice her sneaking through files she shouldn't see. No one will catch her when she discovers a terrible truth. With any luck, they won't know what she's done to their plans either. They'll take her anxiety as concern for the missing eggs - not for fear she'll be discovered as the one who stole them.

Trivia
- After spending so much time with the ship's youngest aktego, Anna could reasonably be considered an expert in all the children's games and crafts known to the ship. She can fold a paper fortune teller in record time, and loves to teach hatchlings basic origami shapes.
- Anna loves reading - in theory. Unfortunately, her job often keeps her too on her toes to find quiet time to pick up a book, and by the time she comes home for the day she's too tired.
- There aren't many decorative plants on the ship, but Anna is fascinated by the photographs of flowers in the ship's database. She's been saving up to try to buy an extra plant from the farm sector to keep at home, even if it may be too unusual a request to be successful.
