Jude Sol

> inheritance: an expertly crafted iron ring fashioned with a multicolored gemstone inherited from Jude's celestial grandfather, who he doesn't know is a celestial. he wears it all the time.

 > despite his strange and magical talents, the odd appearance of him and siblings, and the magical abilities of his grandfather, jude has no idea of his aasimar/celestial heritage. he just thinks he has a birth condition that causes his eyes and ears to look like that (he wears contacts to look normal 99 percent of the time), that gigantism runs in his family, and that grandpa jay was just an odd old man.

 > his parents were always consistently urging him not to talk about the magicks his grandpa would show him, and while he understands it to be "real magic" in a sense, he doesn't get that it's, not really normal. he gets his family is out of the ordinary but not in a sense grander than them just being weird and their grandfather being eccentric. 

> his grandfather is likely some form of lesser/minor deity, or solar angel/celestial, depending on what lore allows. 

> jude is a college dropout, since his grandfather's "death" (probably some sort of return to a different plane or some shit) tore him up really bad. he's doing better now, but can't go back to school on account of the fact that his sports scholarship was the only reason he was able to play. 

> he played both lacrosse and rugby in both high school and college. he used to wanna become a professional rugby player 

> jude legitimately understands next to nothing about magic and how it works or the greater secret society of magical beings that exists. he definitely doesn't know that he'd qualify as one of said magical beings. 

> jude learned celestial and draconic from grandpa jay. he doesn't know it's celestial and draconic, he thinks they're weird made up languages his grandpa made up for coding messages in war or some generic old man shit
