Generally Ash is every bit of a studio indie artist/pretentious filmmaker stereotype there is. He makes his own style, very much anti-establishment and goes against the mainstream, he isn't practical and extra as hell in almost everything. His unique outlook on life allows him to give a very different opinion on matters most people might not see and an appreciation for everything. Ash works hard to make his vision a reality and wants to see people enjoying the things he likes. He doesn’t want to be rich and famous to everyone in the world but as long as the people who know him praise him he considers it all a job well done.

Art is life and a lot of Ash’s style of art is going against the grain. He wants to turn taboo into high class so he films sex and fetishes, he pushes drugs, he is lewd and brash and unapologetically out there. Ash sees himself as either just another guy or a new flavor of the week specialty of whatever doesn't belong in the setting. Ash’s goal is to almost always make something that others find gorgeously uncomfortable and uses his role in society to appeal to the common man and change the minds of the upper class.

History:

Aloise Skylar Holland grew up in a middle class family, more well off than most others but because of the hard work of his working class parents. His parents valued perfection and class and while they lived in the city Ziion they wanted nothing more than to live in the Cloud as they saw it as a haven to live and stay as a proper reward for their work. Both parents had their fair share of flaws, most of the stress they put on themselves got to them behind closed doors but they carried themselves as if they already lived there and raised their son to achieve their dreams of status and wealth. They both worked themselves to the bone in secret, hid all that they did to get Aloise the best they could offer. Aloise went to the best school available to them in the city, he wore the nicest clothes possible and behaved as a proper elite boy should in a perfect nuclear family. As they focused so much attention and care to Aloise they seemed to lose hope for themselves of their own goal, moreso pushing for Aloise to have a better life than improving their own strained lives. The marriage between Aloise’s parents became tense in the confines of their own home where only Aloise could see it and it only got worse as time went on but no one said a word and no one spoke about it, the outside world would never know and they would continue to be picture perfect.

At a young age Aloise began to show a growing interest in art and his parents ran with it, hoping a streak of genius would rise their family above the rest. Aloise was enrolled in music and art studies where he was successful but he wasn't top of the class, he deviated from the standards and experimented with all sorts of mishaps, getting him into plenty of trouble. Aloise often snuck in naked drawings of males and females in his drawings, put dirty language in his screenwriting, and constantly explored darker themes in his work which contrasted with his clean sterile upbringing. While he justified this as him exploring himself his parents didn't see the same and just covered up all his mistakes, pouring all their time and resources into masking his misdemeanors instead of fixing them or letting him suffer the consequences publicly.

At first Aloise felt ashamed of himself, sure he was doing some drugs and making a mess on canvas but he loved what he made and wished his parents at least understood. But his parents didn't even want to acknowledge that side of him, not just the mistakes he made but the weird art he produced. They just ignored it all together. The more they covered up their son’s eccentric ways the more he drifted away, digging a hole deeper and deeper into juvenile delinquency. Eventually they tried the last option and let him go away for film studies, staying in dorms far away from home to study media in a film district. There Aloise got more wrapped up in the seedy underbelly of the industry, being involved in more scandals and scams for his young age but also gaining some credible accolades for his intense film work. Aloise never got an entire project to himself but his input was valued to stand out among the rest. His parents didn’t want anything to do with the many times he got caught fucking up and they didn’t want to see anything of his where his name wasn’t under the director’s credit. Understanding this to be true Aloise Skyllar Holland decided to just stop trying to impress his parents altogether, leaving them to be with people who could understand his taste of life. Still, he didn’t want to burden them with being associated with the shit he will always be getting into so he changed his name to Ash and went his seperate way. Ash genuinely hopes his parents get what they always wanted and make it into the Cloud someday, they will have better chances with him gone now anyways.
