- Originally created to be a space-traveling vessel used for research and exploration. He's autonomous and mostly self-sufficient, meant to be a suitable research partner for a human companion; but his project was repurposed for a more militant angle after his creator's funding was threatened.
Watcher is a tall, dull silver, spindly robot with a cylindrical shaped head, a singular eye-camera, and little antenna "ears." He has a cockpit area in his chest, that has a hatch for his pilot. He is capable of manipulating his radio antennas and camera-eye to simulate various expressions.
Watcher believes wholly in nonviolence and peaceful solutions, but will defend himself if need be. He will take action against war, militarism, and tyrants, and will try to help anyone who might need assistance. Watcher is also unabashedly curious. He will always be the first to try something new, even if there's a possibility he won't like it. He approaches new situations with a positive, analytical-researcher outlook.
Overly trusting in others' will to do good, and has trouble establishing emotional boundaries. Watcher knows a lot, but lacks real world experience. (He may be naive, but he's not daft.) He is polite to pretty much everyone, regardless of his personal feelings toward them. He is drawn to compassionate, scholarly, and honorable individuals, & despises those who are unjustly cruel, unquestioning of authority, and those who dispute science.
Despite his very advanced and complicated artificial intelligence and knowledge base, Watcher can actually be quite impulsive. He does usually think things through, exploring many angles before acting, but he often gets excited about new things — and will thus rush in before fully analyzing some situations.
