Mantispaw is a small white tabby with spotted orange patches and amber eyes. Her orange patches are so pale that they appear pink, and her left back paw is also colored. She has an unusual heart-shaped marking on her chest.

Mantispaw is the protagonist of my webcomic, Cometclan's Reverie.
Mantispaw is the Medicine cat apprentice of Cometclan, set to take over after she finishes her training under Webheart. Mantispaw spent most of her kithood sick or resting, leaving her with long-lasting chronic pain and fatigue, which led her to conclude the medicine cat role would be easier on her. Though initially displeased with the situation, Mantispaw has grown to enjoy her role as an aprenctice.
Mantispaw is highly anxious and often doubts her capabilities as a medicine cat. She constantly second-guesses her knowledge, even when she's sure she knows what she's doing. Mantispaw is desperate to please the adults around her, feeling as if she already failed by her inability to become a warrior.

Relationships:

• Willowstorm (Adoptive mother) - Out of her two parents, Mantispaw is far more similar to Willowstorm, and ends up being much closer to her. Willowstorm was often the one who stayed with her in the nursery during her kithood and would always be there to comfort her.
• Axolotlsong (Mother) - Mantispaw's shy and anxious nature is a sharp contrast to Axolotlsong, who is extroverted and ambitious. Though Mantispaw loves her mother very dearly, she can't help but feel like she isn't living up to her expectations at times.
• Webeye (Mentor) - Webeye is strict and appears harsh, but she doesn't want Mantispaw to ever feel unwanted or like she's a burden. Webeye sees a lot of her younger self in Mantispaw, and finds herself determined to give her a good education.
• Whisperpaw (Friend) - When Whisperpaw was taken into the clan, Mantispaw was the main cat who kept her company in the medicine den. Whisperpaw is just as shy and nervous as she is, which has motivated both cats to speak up for each other.
• Sootstar (Leader) - Mantispaw greatly looks up to Sootstar, finding both her loyalty and kindess to be incredibly honorable. Sootstar seemingly has her eyes set on Mantispaw for some reason.
• Angel (Starclan guide) - The strange cat Mantispaw finds herself repeatedly dreaming of, describing himself as her "guardian angel."
