Vaettir was born 1500 years before the Arctic and Foeslayer incident; just a couple years younger than Khione. Raised from a young age to take the throne from her Mother, Vae is very ambitious in her pursue for power.

She had always taken an interest in magic and the lengths that one could go to achieve it. She challenged her mother, Queen Adria when she was 10 and won; she spiked her mothers head on display outside the castle. She rallied her forces and invaded the kingdom of Sea; driving out the Seawings and claiming their lands as her own.

Vaettir oversaw the construction of the mega-city Ilmore, in the hopes that it would become one of the wealthiest cities in the world. She rallied a large force to create a Nightwing army numbering in the thousands. She invaded parts of the Sand and Sea kingdoms, further extending the reach of her reign, waging war against any who stood against her. Ilmore was built on the coast of the Sea Kingdom and stood as a pillar of controversy among the other tribes. She drove thousands of seawings into the sea, without compensation for the loss of land or lives that she's caused and slaughtering anyone who would defy her. The seating Queen Ceana tried several times to make peace with the Nightwing queen; but Vaettir grew bored of her prattle very quickly and soon had her head spiked outside the gates of Ilmore.

Vaettir's reign was ended when an assassin sent from the Sea kingdom slit her throat, ordered by the new Queen Isurus. The Seawings took advantage of the Night Kingdom amid its disarray and took control of the Peninsula of a Thousand Scales and reclaiming their kingdom. During a earthquake, the city of Ilmore sank beneath the waves and became known as 'The Deep Palace'.
