Stray was once just another Vehicon Clone in the Decepticon army. One of the countless soldiers created to fight and die. When her unit was attacked by the autobots and she was the last survivor, she decided that she wanted to live. She ran in the chaos and hid away.

Knowing the decepticons didnt care if she even was alive, she deserted the war and dissapeared into the wastelands. For years she survived alone and built her own base, slowly creating an identity of her own as she spied on humans with drones. That is how she got her name and her gender identity. 

One day, she got hurt by a left over mine from a trap causing her to become severly damaged. The Autobots managed to find her and rather than destroying her they realized she looked different then other vehicons, and sounded different. They took her in, patched her wounds, and slowly Stray learned how to trust them. Especially Ratchet, whom she started working under.

Stray was a vehicon, and like every vehicon she followed orders. She was one of the newley made ones, when they started making vehicons and barrly training them to go out to battle autobots. 

During a battle, Stray's Crew was being destroyed. She saw they killed, time felt slow, for the first time.. she felt fear

She didnt want to die.

So she ran, she ran as fast as she could and deserted the decepticons, what she was made for everything.

She ended up alone. Surviving off scraps, and she created her own base to live in.

Through scavenging she created drones, weapons, she was intellegent and learning.

She used the drones to watch humans, to learn from them. What being individual was, what it was like to feel, to hope, she learned about identity, thats when she gave herself her new name, her new identity.

She still feels guilt about abandoning the decepticons, being a coward, shes afraid that no matter what she'll just be a clone.

She managed to become a dealer for both sides, selling scavenged materials for energon. Kept secret and made sure her location wouldnt be tracked.
