- Jet keeps his hair covering his missing eye mostly to appear friendly to others and to not scare them off.
- Although Jet becomes the unofficial leader of his group once they come together he's actually unsure if he's qualified and has some anxeity revolving around it. Still, he ends up being a natural.
- Jet sometimes models some of the outfits Pheo creates! He's worn a lot of Pheo's designs before they were finalized.
- Jet really loves mystery stories and suspects that the reason his father, Rio, left clues in the way he did about his disappearance was because he had faith Jet would be able to solve the mystery.
Jet is a natural leader who's not afraid to take charge, but also doesn't believe he has the final say on everything. He does his best to get everyone to work together without acting like a dictator and often sees his job as being to inspire and lift people up, not necessarily to control them. Some people might think he's a little too lenient, but he would call them a little too controlling. He tries very hard to appear friendly and kind.
Jet worries about regressing back to how he used to be. Although he tries his best to be friendly and kind, he used to be a very cruel person who was merciless to people he disliked (and sometimes even those he considered "friends"). This past still haunts him and he constantly keeps his missing left-eye hidden as it serves as a reminder for that time.
Jet was born in Fairflower, but hardly got to know his parents before they were both killed in an accident. This led him to being in and out of foster care, but eventually he got fed up and ended up running away. He lived on the streets for awhile before being taken in by a gang who exposed him to horrible things as he grew up. He took part in violence and robberies but gradually began to see the gang as family, though it wasn't a great example of course.
Jet developed his powers at a very early age, possibly being the first person to ever develop them. He wanted to keep them a secret until he could use them properly. Unfortunately the potential of what he could do became intoxicating and, when the gang's previous leader was killed, Jet took it as an opportunity to take control. He revealed his powers and made a bloody grab for power which ended up being successful. Jet became the new leader, but his rule was much worse than that of the previous leader. He was merciless and cruel, even to those part of his group, and it led him to having many enemies everywhere he looked. Eventually, when his members got fed up, they launched a coup d'etat to over take him. With so many people, and him still being inexperienced with his powers, he was easily over taken. The gang took his left eye as a warning and prize before kicking him out onto the streets.
During his time on the streets Jet was bitter over what happened. He stole to survive, but felt aimless about what to do next. During this time he ended up running into a former soldier named Rio. Rio took pity on Jet and, despite his efforts to refuse and scare Rio off, he helped Jet to the best of his ability. First it was just providing food, and then clothes for winter, and so forth. Jet tried his best to stay distant and angry, but after everything Rio did (and the fact he kept coming back) Jet found it difficult to remain bitter. Eventually Rio decided to adopt him and over the years Jet changed drastically from the person he used to be.
Jet feels as if he owes a lot to Rio and believes he very much saved him. It's not unusual for Rio to be gone a lot, but once the attacks on Magnus begin he sets out to find out why his father went missing.
Pheo was originally a person his dad knew, but while talking Jet and Pheo both became very close friends. Jet views him as invaluable as a friend and often goes to him with issues, including some revolving around Rio.
Jet and Chase have very similar powers, but Jet is both more experienced and better at controlling his. Because of this he ends up teaching and helping Chase figure out how to control his powers and they both become good friends.
