Altair is a scientist.
The head scientist, of propel labs. In fact he's the most well known and well renowned business men in the city, his charms and tricks winning over as many as he can allow himself to, boosting himself to the top of the top, the best of the best even if he isn't the strongest.
You could even call him mad.
Altair is an edgelord, you could also call him that but honestly? He knows he is. He embraces it.
I mean, he is a villain after all.
He revels in his popularity, coming off as a bit of a snot around the higher-ups, and without his ego he'd probably get a lot more done in life. But he chooses not to and instead spends outrageous amounts of money on the underground tunnel system under the city, just because he can. He makes odd, dangerous but ultimately useless weapons because he can. Someone like him probably shouldn't be in charge of a multi-million dollar company involved in just about any kind of science there is.
But he can.
