Zephyr

More quiet than you might expect. Most Hippogriffs that aren't on his delivery route assume that he prefers to keep to himself because he lives alone. He keeps his conversations short but is generally very friendly and knows everyone in the neighborhood, always being certain to say hello. The reason he doesn't talk too much is simply because he's really busy all the time. He'd really love to have more time to chat with everyone and stay for tea and such but it's just not possible at the moment. Zeph always makes work a priority so he can help support the community.

One of the first Hippogriffs to repopulate Mt. Aris, Zephyr lost his ability to live in Seaquestria during the reign of the Storm King (see: MLP,The Movie). During one of his daily rounds he strayed off path after being tempted by a siren. Ending up too far from Queen Novo and the Pearl of Transformation, he turned back into a Hippogriff and had to flee to the surface in order to breathe, unable to swim far enough back into the sea to return home.
After the Storm King was defeated/reformed and some of the Hippogriffs began to return to land, they rebuilt their colony in the mountains and found Zeph along the way. They gave him one of the Pearl fragments everyone had now received to switch between forms at will, but he had been out of seapony form for so long that his fragment shattered after trying to use it. (He's not used to that kind of magic anymore).
Now Zeph lives permanently as a Hippogriff with the others on Mt. Aris and has resumed his job as messenger, he also delivers letters to pony cities like Canterlot and Ponyville from time to time.
