PERSONALITY

Basil is a compulsive altruist: he CANNOT help but giving a hand to whoever shows themselves in need. Even if he knows that will end up badly for him. That being said, that doesn't prevent him from being a petty, salty little dude when he's upset. One of his hobbies is to trash talk people who wronged him.

He's a hypocrite, in the sense that he tries to please and be appreciated no matter what. He will lie if he feels like that's needed to get on someone's good side. That being said, he remains sociable and able to handle normal interactions: he's actually quite extroverted and truly sweet. Basil is generous and disinterested, while he does love pretty things, he doesn't feel an attachment to objects, and will gladly offer his possessions to people who need them more than he does.

He's organized: makes a clear priority, works hard on it, swipe everything else under the rug. He tends to delegate things a lot. That being said,d he usually makes sure he's not ruining people's lives with that either. He likes to keep people around him, happy if possible and doesn't want them to run away for several reasons... One of them being how easily lonely he gets. 

Basil is not super autonomous and needs help or at least reassurance often.

TASTES

Basil is quite the beefy dude. He's pretty muscular and strong even though leaning way more on the short side. He's not hairy and has a slight tan.

He has strong traits. His hair is grey, slightly darker root-level, and he has some pointy sideburns as well as some thin beard on the chin, even styled.

He has resonably long, pointy, thin ears. The left one is pierced : 2 forward helix piercings and a lobe earing. Basil has bright pink eyes. He has bright pink, glittery looking marking right under his lower eyelid, and 3 diamond shaped markings on his left titty, pointing at his nipple.

Basil has a wide rounded nose and very human looking teeth.

He has 2 paires of arthropod-like, pink wings. The first paire, attached the higher on his back, is long with twirly end. The second paire, attached a bit lower, is more simple, with classic rounded edges. Both paire have a darker armature. They are somehow functionnal.

CHILDHOOD

Basil is born among a fairy group in the depth of Desan. He had a very classical childhood, nothing particular happened. He just grew up, started developing hobbies, made friends...

ADULTHOOD

At age 19, Basil left his homeland to go and try to build his own life. His parent suggested this kind of travel for him to gain in autonomy, even though they knew they would deeply miss their son.

He started exploring the continent, and it all went quite smoothly. He wasn't that fit for survival alone in society, but he managed to get through it, and eventually, after a few years, he decided to try to leave the continent by sea.

Fairies aren't that common around the seashore, though their powers' reputation precedes them. Basil got kidnapped by pirates, who were hoping to enslave him and use his powers against his will. Sometimes, the fairy thinks about how that could have ended after theses months spent abused, which got carved into his mind.

However, he usually tries to focus on what actually happened : A privateer stopped the pirates, and saved him. Thankful for his life, Basil decided to stay on his ship and try to help. Eventually, he ended belly dancing for the crew. 

POWERS

FAIRY MAGIC
Basil can use basic fairy magic, that naturally runs through his veins. He's not to be underestimated. He can easily use telekinesis, make plant grow at extreme speed, and even more dangerous : He can charm people, put them under his hold and break down their lucidity.
