Sassy and blunt, he also holds himself poised and nonchalant when it comes to people he doesn't know. In most cases, Klaus judges every single person he sees, sorting them into his lists of "people he can get along with" and those he can't fathom to have a conversation with. As he comes from a large family, being the third eldest out of nine children, Klaus believes in working hard to make ends meet, and will cuss you out if you don't.

Character
Fighting Style
A jack of all trades but a master of none with the exception of his large, broad, cross-like club, Klaus is able to utilize a multitude of things at hand to his advantage. In terms of protecting the northern border along the massive gate, he will also utilize icicles that hang from the crevices and ceilings.
The earliest prompt of an attempt will make him react as he's highly sensitive to his surroundings. Excellent close-range to mid-range fighter, but surprisingly doesn't do that well on large amounts of sand.
History
Currently works as a gatekeeper guard at a northern border, Klaus spends his time walking back and forth on his country's territory. Often, Klaus will head south to Alqamar's shop to order more seeds, as rebuilding the forest surrounding the gate is one of the country's highest priorities in that area.
Too Large of a Family
Understanding the struggle of maintaining a large but loving family, Klaus immediately wanted to get into the workforce, regardless of his peers urging him to move towards higher education or other forms of schooling. Seeing that, putting his family first, having an extra set of income would allow his younger siblings a better chance of enjoying a university life or other lifestyle that they wished for. His two elder siblings did the same thinking that he had, so he wanted to do the same.
Opting to go into a short military program that would allow him quick access to jobs, Klaus excelled in his studies. Although he was not the best and did not find his specialty until much later, he had considerable talent when utilizing anything to his advantage. Through referrals and recommendations from his cohorts and teachers, he was able to successfully land a job close to home - guarding and patrolling a northern gate that separated their country from the other. Other individuals would complain about such a location, given that it was cold and essentially lifeless, with a lot of hard action from the northern forces coming down, but Klaus decided it was a good fit given his knowledge of tactics and weapon usage.
Not a Princess, Goddamnit
Adjusting to the current culture of the patrol force was a bit difficult at first. Klaus' sassy and judgemental attitude was not welcomed because it made him look as if he was more superior than the others, but others quickly understood his thought process when it came to battle, as he was able to cover their backs at certain times that would have resulted in some sort of injury.
His colleagues slowly started to give him the nickname "princess" because of the way that he acted around others and whenever he sat down for a cup of coffee or tea, raising his "lil pinky" and with "aristocratic" posture. It was one thing that his colleagues could get back at him for his initial relentless personality, and although Klaus hates being called a princess, he lets it slide for his blunt nature.
Trivia
His trips down south to Alqamar's shop happens more often than he'd like, due to the invading forces from the north trying to take advantage of the terrain and ripping trees and shrubs out from the ground via explosives. As he would not admit it in person, he enjoys these trips down south as it is a "vacation" away from destruction, and hey, his department pays for his trips down south, so he might as well take advantage.
Alqamar
[ seller ] A seller who provides top quality seeds that survive well in cold temperatures and a delivery services that has impeccable timing, Klaus would enjoy Alqamar's comopany if he didn't act so dumb in his presence, who of which is well aware Klaus does not fancy dumb individuals.
M
[ friend ] Finds M facinating and interesting, as they share a lot of worldly views. Although M has not fully opened up to him about his past, Klaus has learned his quirks to avoid the topic whenever M becomes uncomfortable.
