Nel

Nel was raised to be the matriarch of a powerful Kirin family who had escaped their own city to create a new following in a new one. Unbeknownst to them, there was already a kitsune family there, and they did not like sharing territory.

Nel soon developed a crush on the rivals' soon-to-be matriarch, a sweet, psychic kitsune named Agate. Neither of them knew at the time who the other was in relation to their families. Nel, who was attuned with nature, took Agate on many a nature walk, and they were very sweet on each other.

But the kitsune family had had enough and told Agate to assassinate Nel. Of course, she couldn't and was punished. After that, Nel did not know what happened, and never saw Agate again. She assumed the sweet kitsune had been done away with and swore revenge. 

Nel is loud and forceful and loves going for hikes and hanging out in nature. She tends to a garden of which she's very proud, and spins thread to keep her mind off her gnawing need for vengeance. She has experience with the sword, but not much modern technology due to her family's want to be traditional, and her own ineptitude with tech in general. She can barely work a cell phone, and she would probably be the one to forward all their money to a Nigerian prince. 

Passionate about the land and donates her time to many environmental advocacy groups.
