Present

Due to his illness and childhood trauma, he is unable to go out often. While Kyle does try to help him back into the world, Edward shys away. At most, he can go out for 2-3 hours a day without having a panic attack. Edward does not attend school but wishes he can with Kyle. At home, he writes novels and does artwork as a job. He’s currently living with Kyle and his family as the oldest adopted son.

Background

He grew up in an abusive household. His mother was a rape victim and he was the result. Due to this, his mother was kicked out of her house and left to fend for herself with the young Ed. His mother turned toward prostitution and drug dealing as a method of survival. She took Edward with her and lived in a small apartment complex that is run down with only 2 rooms and 1 bathroom. His mother is an alcoholic, frequent smokes, and often abuses him. Often blaming Edward for their troubles, Edward grew up with a negative thinking. At age 8, his mother brought over her “friends” and Edward lost his virginity that day. Under the influence of drug and sweet talk, Edward did not realize what was happening. Ever since that day, Edward has been working with his mother’s clients since his mother forced him too. He was brought out of that household at age 14 when he ran away from home. He lived with Kyle's family till he was later officially adopted in Kyle’s family when he was age 16. Edward was never given a proper education as he struggles to fit in with normal life.

”It hurts. My head hurts. I can’t move. All I can see is red, I don’t want this. Why did this happen to me? What did I do wrong? I’m sticky and wet all over. I want to take a bath. I don’t want this. Mom. Mom. Please help… It hurts so much.. I want to sleep forever.”
