| HISTORY: | Astrella was one of many dragons stolen from her home dimension where dragons are common as an egg by a power-hungry elven sorcerer, and into one where they were near hunted to extinction by humans. The sorcerer brought the eggs to an island that sat on top of a powerful source of ancient magic, which he used to experiment on them in the hopes of creating a sentient weapon of mass destruction. All but Astrella were killed in the process, their magic funneled back from them and into her.
While the sorcerer's lessons on magic and the use of it were taken up easily by the dragon, his history lessons- meant to indoctrinate her into hating humans- were met with a great deal more skepticism by a deeply idealistic dragon who focused too much on the other stories she was told of legends, heroes, and martyrs.
When she finally learned of her clutchmates' fates, and what was being asked of her, she fled the island in a mix of panic and righteous rage, swearing that she would return one day when she had the skill to bring the sorcerer to justice. Her flight led her to a strange continent she had never been to before, and eventually into a secluded place in the mountains where she met a witch of flowers and a werewolf librarian
