Ignatius

Ignatius Hagan comes from the wealthy Sanguis family, this wealth goes back centuries due to the family consisting of powerful wizards along with touches of vampirism. Ignatius is the second youngest child in the family, having a younger sister and two older brothers.

When Ignatius was born he was completely normal until he broke a ruby gem which held his 15th great-grandfathers spirit in it, who immediately made himself at home inside of him. This is represented by the red eye he has and the scar like pattern on his face and body. His grandfather was someone who used primarily fire magic but he also delved deep into the dark magic side, including things like blood magic and reanimation.. He wanted to take the family's wealth for himself, along with many of the wizarding books that held infinite knowledge but was quickly dealt with and was put into the gemstone.
Ignatius hears his grandfathers voice constantly, trying to turn him down the same path he wanted to go down all those centuries ago. Being a bit of a pushover and easy to manipulate, he started doing blood magic in his own time despite knowing the dangers of it.

Ignatius lost his mother at a young age in a fire in one of their many manors, their family blamed one of the older brothers but in reality it was Ignatius who caused this fire to begin with. He still blames himself for it, being reminded of the fire by the many burns on his body along with more of the red scarring from his grandfathers curse, but despite the immense guilt he feels he doesn't have the guts to talk to his still grieving father about it letting his brother get shamed constantly.
Ignatius is his father's favourite son and would've let him inherit all of the wealth if it wasn't for his older brothers, despite this he still takes him to many large parties and important matters. Ignatius is incredibly nervous and fidgety most of the time and isn't great with people but his father is still trying to push him to become big and bold like his oldest brother.

first name means set on fire/setting on fire, last name means blood in latin and middle name is also a different version of fire (irish i think)
