Yume Caelum
Overview
Yume Caelum is the daughter of the famous Nightmare Huntress Persephone Caelum, also known as "The Doll" She works as a nightmare huntress herself and, ever since her love interest Bijou got killed by a Traum, she wants to hunt them down and kill them with her own hands. She offers to hunt nightmares in exchange for money and claims she only does her job for money. In reality, she wants to save others from the fate Bijou had to experience.

Yume often hides her emotions from others. She got teached that showing emotions means showing weakness, and so she hates when someone sees her actual sensitive, emotional side. She is also soft and caring, but hides this side of hers behind a rough and cold behaviour. She wants to be seen as strong, as someone who can protect others. Besides this, she has a sweet tooth. Thanks to all the stress she experiences, she eats a lot of sweets, but barely gains weight. In her workplace, she also has a secret place, where she hides all of her sweets for hard times. She also has a bad habit of waving her tail left and right when she experiences heavy emotions and tries to hide them. She also tries to hide the tail waving, but often it's no use.
Yume has terrible communication skills. She is so used to hiding her true colors, that she often comes off as rude and rough. She swears like a sailor, especially when things don't look good, and she often states the dark, bitter truth. Lying about what is unevitable is a no-go for her. And so, she often states the cold hurtful truth. She also doesn't sugarcoat things. But she has trouble showing kindness with her words and her body language. Often, she seems cold and distant, not caring at all. But in reality, she cares. A lot.
Ever since her almost Girlfriend Bijou died, Yume has a super hard time showing affection. She mostly does it by bringing gifts to those she did wrong or to those she wants to cheer up. However, those gifts are always brought anonymously, so nobody knows it was her gifting this. Besides, she hates to be touched and hugged. She just fears to cry out loud like a crybaby, so she even treats her own wounds herself. And thanks to her brutal honesty, she often broke hearts of those interested in her.

CHILDHOOD
- Yume suffered a lot under her parents, who mostly cared about her and her Sister Ariadne continueing the Family legacy
- She barely had friends in her childhood, so she always sticked to Aria.
- Her love for Strawberries came from her childhood as well. On her birthday, she always got strawberry cake from Aria, when she learned to bake.
Yume Caelum was born in Japan into a rich family. Her father, who was a Nightmare Hunter from Greece, and her mother, a nightmare huntress from Japan, wanted her to continue the legacy of them. Especially the Caelums were famous for their insane hunting skills and large collection of weapons, and they wanted Yume and her older sister Aria to continue this legacy. Both sisters got homeschooled, so they could concentrate on their Nightmare Hunter Future. They only had themselves, and so, the two sisters got closer, trusting each other blindly. Yume was a crybaby in her childhood, which always made some trouble. Her father often ridiculed her for crying, telling her that showing emotions means weakness. And so, Yume grew more and more cold, hiding her true colors. Her parents often trained with both of them, and despite Aria getting more praise then Yume since Aria was learning faster, the sisters were still best friends.
BIJOU
- The name "Strawberry kills" was the idea of Yume, who wanted to include something unique into the name of the hunting business. Her parents were not amused.
- Bijou was the reason Yume recognized she was bisexual.
At the age of 16, Yume and Aria started their hunting business "Strawberry Kills". And when they did, they moved out of their parents house, leaving their strict, dark childhood behind. Thanks to Aria's fighting skills, the business became well known. And more and more requests for hunting Nightmares came in. However, they often dealt with very weak and small nightmares, but it was ok for them, in the end, they made their money with it and Yume didn't like hunting that much anyways. That was until she came into the business: Bijou, a gorgeous chubby Dreamdemon Neko. Her parents were strict like the military and she experienced a lot of trouble. And so, she asked Yume to hunt down her Traum: "Deemo". Yume, still shocked by the beauty of Bijou, immediately agreed and tried to seem chill. It didn't work that well. However, Bijou and Yume spent a lot of time together, so Yume could be there when Deemo shows herself. And in this time, the two Neko grew closer and fell in love. On the night Bijou wanted to confess her love to Yume however, Deemo appeared. Yume and her had a brutal, bloody fight. But it was no use. In the end, Yume was left behind bleeding and heavily wounded, while Deemo killed Bijou with overflowing emotions, consuming her soul once and for all. Aria, who hunted nearby, heard the Traum and the fight, but arrived when it was too late. All she could do was saving the wounded Yume from the battleground.
Revenge
- Ever since Bijou is gone, Yume swore to herself to never get into a relationship again.
- Yume still sometimes deals with consequences from the fight against Deemo. For example, she suffers from disturbing nightmares when she tries to sleep.
Yume woke up in Strawberry kills, where Aria took care of her wounds. Immediately after realising what happened, Yume wanted to hunt after Deemo, but was still too weak and wounded. Aria really had to hold her back to not storm out of the business and hunting after Deemo. And so, Yume's physical wounds healed. But she became more cold and distant, more honest and even rude. Her selfless side hid deep inside of her, while she grew more tough. And when she was ready, she started hunting all over Japan to find Deemo and her sisters and slaughter them. Aria agreed to help Yume finding a way to win this time. And so, Aria traveled to Greece, where the oracle of delphi knew a lot about those beings. And Yume? She traveled and searched, killing nightmare after nightmare, with Bijou and Vengeance on her mind.

Skills & abilities
Atillery
She owns a ton of weapons. Axes, Spears, Swords... you name it. It's another treasure of her family and has a huge worth, however, she can only fight with half of those weapons. One of her main weapons is her Scythe "Seelensplitter", which can also cast some magic. Sometimes however, she also fights with her Dagger "Bloodfang", a dagger made of crystalized Dreamdemon Blood.
Seelensplitter
A huge scythe, which is made out of shards of Dreams. Yume is able to break the scythe into shards, which can float around her and which she can control. To bring the scythe back together however, she has to empty her thoughts and mind. The scythe is also able to summon dreamcats. Those cats look like the nightsky and can and will attack nightmares. Otherwise, those cats are pretty sweet and cute and good companions!
Nightsight
With her cateyes, she is able to see everything at night. However, thanks to this, she has a sort of blurry sight at daytime, so she sometimes wears glasses. Yume also has the problem of having a somewhat bad sight in general, so at nighttime, she sees a lot of things but reading is hard, and at daytime, she often walks into things.
Dreammind
Yume is able to go into the dreams of other beings and change them to a certain amount. If the dream ends well, she can consume said dream, gaining a lot of power and magic for a short time. However, she can't enter dreams who are already terrifying nightmares. She is also able to read parts of the mind of beings who daydream. However, she hates to do so, because she values the privacy of others.
The talented, but raging sister of Yume. They only had each other in their childhood, and so, they grew really close and trust each other blindly. They would do anything for each other, that's why Aria often calls with Yume via the internet to keep her up to date about the happening in Greece and reverse. However, when Aria tries to tease her sister, Yume is often confused about what Aria tries to do- Also, Aria knows a lot of memes, which Yume doesn't understand well.
The girlfriend of Yume, who died thanks to the Nightmare Deemo and is the reason Yume goes on a killing spree. Bijou and Yume were a dreamteam. In the beginning awkward to each other, until they trusted each other deeply. They found huge comfort in each other and they would have died for each other. Basically, they were both madly in love with each other and wanted to confess their love for each other, but when Bijou wanted to do the first step, Deemo killed her. So, the two never got together and actually got together. It's complicated. To this day, Yume claims she can see Bijou in her dreams and talk to her there, even though her soul got consumed by Deemo...
