About
Mayumi is a butterfly who was ripped out of her coocoon before she was ready. Being forced to basically be the actual parental figure for her younger brother, Mayumi never got a proper childhood. She was never upset at him at all, and did her best to be a good big sister. She had to sacrifice a lot for him, but she never minded. Mayumi is an overworker, and has a hard time relaxing. She's very kind and selfless, but she can put her foot down if it's really needed. She is very much a mom-friend, always making sure to be prepared and the people around her are doing well. That being said, she hardly looks over herself. As long as she has the bare minimum to function properly, that's all she cares about.
After joining SEES, her life does turn around, and she joins the others in the dorm along with her Yoru, her younger brother. Because she no longer has to pay rent, she has time to actually have a life outside of work, and Yoru and Hotaru. She still feels a bit strange having time to herself, but feels a lack of weight on her shoulders. She's seen smiling a lot more, and becoming more like her own person. Mayumi is fairly calm and composed, but deep down she's pretty sensetive, but always has to act strong because of either work, or her brother. She's the type that can get things done, and is used to handling adult stuff, so she often helps the others with it if needed. She is in a relationship with Akihiko.

I.
Mayumi was born with high expecations in mind. However, she never got much attention from her parents, often being whisked off to daycare until she was considered 'responsible' enough to be home alone. Which she was, a lot. However, when her younger brother, Yoru was born, her parents attention seemed to lock on on him. Yoru was a sickly person, and sometimes had a hard time breathing. They expected Mayumi to take care of him, and essentially take care of all his needs while they showered him in attention and affection, as well with anything he wanted.
II.
When Yumi entered middle school, her parents had passed away in a car accident, then living in an orphanage with Yoru. She didn't exactly think too much of it, but she did know it was her job to take care of Yoru now. She took on babysitting jobs since she wasn't old enough to take on actual jobs, and would care for her brother and the other kids at the same time. She began saving up heavily, and when she entered highschool and was old enough, she got a proper job at Chagall cafe. This is also where she met Hotaru, her best friend. After some time, she saved enough for an apartment, and when she reached 18, she took guardianship of her brother. She only did extra jobs that allowed her brother to tag along so he wouldn't be home alone. All of her funds would go to their rent, food, essentials or extra stuff for her brother to make sure he grew up happy. She also still made time for her brother despite how busy she was.
III.
As time passed, Yumi eventually entered College, which was built near the highschool. This is where life seemed to finally change for the better for her, despite the dangers. She started working as an intern at Tatsumi Memorial Hospital, which was a lot of work, but she did learn a lot with it which helped with her classes. She was working towards becoming a proper doctor, which wasn't exactly her 'passion', but she was doing this to better help her brother and get discounts at the pharmary. It was thanks to her intern work at the hospital that she ended up meeting Akihiko. Then she ended up seeing him more, thanks to them sharing a lot of classes. Eventually, she does awaken her Persona, and join SEES, moving into the dorms with her brother. Thanks to this, she was able to cut down on her jobs, and have actual time to study, and hang out with people for once. SEES became like a found family to her, and she is very close with them. As time passed, she ended up falling for Akihiko, and vise versa, and the two sprout a relationship, and eventually get married.
Due to them studying in similar fields, they got to spend a lot of time together, despite Mayumi's busy schedule. Within time, Akihiko's feelings for Mayumi were clear as day, and he ended up accidently telling her his feelings, which she happily returned. The two are typically always near each other and are very PDA heavy and affectionate. They also get married while still at university, living their best life with each other.
Mayumi and Hotaru met due to them both working at the cafe during their second year of highschool. Due to them bonding over the creeps at their work, they started becoming closer and talking at school as well. Slowly she broke down Hotaru's walls, and vise versa, the two understand each other well, and can rely on each other. They care for each other a lot, and look after each other.
Mayumi's younger brother that has always clung to her, being essentially raised by her. Due to her being very gentle and patient with him growing up, he has pretty good emotional awareness and is pretty polite. As he got older he began to become very overprotective of his older sister, and very wary over Akihiko at first because Mayumi already was dealing with enough. When he sees how happy he makes her, he does ease up a bit, but still being his grumpy protective self. He only ever really listens to Mayumi without fail.
