Dove is a cheerful girl who has some complications expression all her emotions. Mostly just sticks to the ones people find more appealing like being happy. Despite how she had been treated in her past she is rather loyal to people who earns her trust. She has some major trust issues when it comes to people but doesn't let on. Dove is pretty smart and loves to learn new things whenever she can. Though she doesn't know everything of course.
Backstory:
Dove was born into a small village in the dark forest. Unfortunately her mother passed when Dove was born so her father had to raise her. Dove was born with a rare condition which changed her eyes to a red colour. It only seemed to happen in that village so far. Her village though of her as a demon child because of how she looked with her natural black hair and red eyes. But her father didn't think she was a demon. He adored her and her older sister. But the sister didn't want to be related to a demon baby so she decided to find herself a new family which she successfully did. So the father lost one of his daughters and soon his home due to not being able to make enough money to keep it. He had to move to a small shack like home. Though when Dove turned 5 her father fell ill. But he tried to hide it from Dove. Though over the year it got worse and worse. Just after Dove's 6th birthday her father passed away. This is when Dove found the true nature of her village.
The home was taken away and Dove was left on the streets. She tried to go to her sister to say what had happened but Dove was rejected by her and the rest of the village for her looks. After that day she was treated horribly. Dove had to resort to stealing things so she could survive. She made herself a small home in the inside of a hill. Took her a while to make sure it would collapse in though. Many failed attempts. But once she got the hang of things it got easier for her to survive. Though she never had it easy. If she got caught she got a beating from whoever caught her. She also was the target of nasty tricks from the other kids. Stones were thrown at her, they picked on her and called her names. It was all lead by her sister who had became the daughter of the mayor of the village. But one day the bullying went too far. Dove was chased away from the village by the kids and ganged up on in the forest. They used stones and branches to hurt her but the sister though ahead. She brought a knife and was going to scare Dove with it. But one kid who was emotional disturbed took the knife from her and told the other kids to pin Dove down.
He said the only way to expose her true nature would be to make sure others could see she was a demon. The child pulled Dove's shirt and began to carve the word demon into her back. Where this kid from the adults did this to mark the dark ones so he applied the same logic to this situation. Dove screamed out in pain as she felt the blade be dragged along her skin of her back. All the pain and emotions that were building up began to make Dove loose control. As the last letter was carved into her skin she let out a scream and everyone was blasted away from her. Suddenly the trees around them began to blow around violently and Dove slowly rose up from the ground. Her tears and blood was being blown around from the strong wind that appeared. It was so strong that some of the kids were being blown around. Dove looked at the boy who hurt her and roots shot up from the ground. They wrapped around him and began to squeeze him. Fortunately a voice shouted out and Dove's attention was taken off the boy and towards where this voice came from.
It was a young man who was wearing strange clothes. He snapped his fingers and freed the boy who was trapped. At this point all the kids ran away leaving the man and Dove alone. Dove suddenly grew scared and her emotions caused the roots to sprout out and attack the man. But the man handled them with ease as he began to walk over to Dove. Once he reached Dove he placed his hand on her forehead and she passed out. When she woke up she was next to a fire and the man was sitting next to her. He had already tended to her wounds and made her some soup. When he offered it to her she snatched it away quickly and drank it all down. The man introduced himself as Mr White and tended to Dove that night. He was pretty open with Dove and she instantly took a liking to him. He told her that she had some powerful magic inside her and he wanted to help her with it. He spent the next week with her teaching her about magic and tending to her wounds. Dove learned many new things during the time they spent together. But when the week came to the end he had to go. Before he did Mr. White offered Dove to be his student.
Dove took his offer and her life changed. Her knowledge grew and she learned how to control her magic. Mr White collected a lot of magical items. One day when Dove was trying to find more spell books to learn from she came across one very special book. It was sealed with a strange lock that had clock gears on it. The book had no title or picture on the cover. It was just a brown leather book with gold accents on it. Dove sat down with the book and tried to figure out how to open it. Finally she figured it out when Mr White came into the room. Mr White suddenly shouted and Dove looked back at him. The room went white and Dove wasn't were she was before. She was surrounded by doors with clocks on them. An old man soon appeared before her and spoke to her about who he was. It turned out he was the guardian of time and she had opened the book which lets him pass his power onto someone else. Before Dove could say anything she was suddenly giving this power and soon returned to where she was. Dove had suddenly became the new guardian of time at the age of 11.
After that Dove's life got more complicated. While she trained with her magic she had to learn the rules and become a guardian. Though this opened up her knowledge of different worlds which caused her to meet and befriend a dragon named Sparks. As she grew her powers became stronger and soon she was able to fully control her magic by 19. This was when she parted from her teacher Mr White and went out into the world with Sparks. The pair made themselves a home where the time guardian is suppose to be at all times. Of course Dove didn't do that. Instead she changed the rules slightly. Traveled through different worlds and interacted with others. She interfered in some worlds business as well when she shouldn't but it made others know her as some sort of savior even though she wasn't. But Dove never had a dull day after she left with Mr White all those years ago.
Facts about Dove:
On her lower back she still has the word demon carved into her skin. She always hides it and hates anyone seeing it.
She used magic to change her hair colour to purple since it was more cheerful then black.
She had rules on her time magic and she sticks to them heavily. She never uses her time magic unless she must. But she is only human after all and has used it to save people.
The belts on her legs contain magic stones that go into her staff when she comes to a world that she can't use magic very well in.
She does know how to fight but is much better when she uses magic.
She has the tendency to pile a lot of stress onto herself since she doesn't ask people for help.
