Diana's personality:
A lovely and sweet girl. Addicted to being the perfect person to everyone. She is confident and energetic. She is really a disturbed individual who buries her negative emotions and trauma deep down.
Opal's personality:
Negative and nasty most of the time. Loves to be cruel and greedy. Overly confident in their abilities despite being trapped. Always snappy and grumpy when they aren't being cruel.
Backstory:
Diana was born into a family of five. She was the only girl in the family. But her family were of middle class and they could afford to live good. Diana was really close with her oldest brother Michel when she was growing up. They really made a connection and they were never apart most of the time. They played games, Michel helped her out with her homework and various other things in her life. He was her protector for most of her childhood. But when Diana hit ten her mother ended up cheating on her father with another man and left them. Her father ended up diving into his work and alcohol to forget about her. During this time her second oldest and third oldest brother's who are twins went to a juvenile detention center for mixing in with the wrong people at age 13. Her forth oldest brother who was just a year older than her ended up going to live with his mother due to his father's behavior. So only Diana and Michel were left after that. So the pair tried to help their father out the best they could. Just by doing simple chores or making dinner.
When Diana hit 11 her father bought her a ventriloquist dummy which she named Opal for her birthday since he had ran out of time to buy her a proper present. But Diana ended up loving it and started to try and copy people on tv when they were doing it with their puppets. But when night came Diana found out that Opal could talk. After that night they began to talk to each other a lot more. Diana would bring Opal around with her everywhere. She put on little shows with her to her father and brother since she got so attached to Opal and her talent began to grow. She was very good at being an ventriloquist. She gained a few more ventriloquist dolls but none of them ever replaced Opal. But as Michel and Diana grew their father's drinking got worse. But Diana seemed to be the only one who could calm her father down if he ever got out of control. Once Michel was in his final year of school Diana pushed him to go and study in college like he wanted. Finally after all the time he decided to go. But he was nervous about leaving Diana alone with their father. So he did check up on her a lot with calls and such. Diana was able to handle her father by herself. He did adore his daughter a lot. But this one night he went too far. After so long of him being alone he went to his daughter to try and comfort him. Of course he was drunk. When he opened the door to Diana's room he staggered straight to her bed. He wrapped his arms around her when him coming into the room woke her up. This was the first of many nights her father decided to sleep in her room with her.
She didn't understand why her father was doing this but she comforted him with hugs and made sure he was comfortable in bed. Though as the nights went on he began to drag her closer to and closer to her. His hands would wander in his sleep and Diana really didn't like it. One night she refused for her father to come into her room and he started to get angry. Before he could do anything she slammed the door in his face and pushed her weight against it as he started to pound on it. She began to panic a little and in an instinct she looked at Opal. She called out to Opal making her turn her head slightly. But when that happened Diana was pushed by the door and fell onto the floor. She crawled away from him and over to Opal. She grabbed her and held her close as she saw her father storm over. But Opal suddenly spoke which made the father stop in his tracks. The room began to shake slightly as Opal's voice echoed around them. Slowly the place began to get darker and darker ad Opal's eyes started to glow. The father's body began to jolt and twist in strange ways. Slowly he was starting to change shape and size as his body was being transformed. Finally when Diana opened her eyes again she saw her father was changed into a little ventriloquist dummy. Opal spoke and from that night on the pair stayed together. She filed a missing person's report when she hid her father's doll body in a box.
After that she moved in with her mother and began to hatch a plan with Opal. Diana finished off school and started a career in show businesses. Trying to put her an Opal's plan in action to preform and lure in people so Opal could get more strength from the victims she changes. So Diana started small. Preform in bars and kids parties. She was found by a tv director who was looking to make a new show. He had a talk with Diana after her show and she instantly agreed to do a show for him. Opal made sure to read through the contract and such before Diana did anything. Once they got their own good slice out of the contract they began to work on their show. Once it aired the ratings for it went wild. Kids everywhere loved it. Diana and Opal became one of the top kid presenters. They featured on many different things from appearances in other shows to being in interviews. This was how they found kids or adults to change for Opal.
