Former skier with a good chance of winning an upcoming tournament, however his shadow started darkening and turning into a portal to a monster-ridden nightmare land that consumes everything that falls into his shadow... including his skis. So yeah, Jace's initial reaction was to warn a few people but they ended up falling in his shadow by accident so without anyone left to worry about Jace's fear turned into annoyance. How was he going to win the skiing contest if he had to worry about this thing? The portal in his shadow came and went, seemingly at random.

He then gave up skiing to become a rookie merry-go-round jockey. He never won though, he kept being beat by his former mentor.

Jace is highly self-aware and is mildly aware that he is based off one of my weirder dreams. He is pretty careless and sarcastic, poking fun at everything. He never cares a great deal about anything.
