An alien child able to reallign the planets. He is stubborn, cold, and is incapable of understanding the emoitions and feelings of others. This inability to empathize often frustrates him, and though he tries very hard to be calm and collected, he often is instead detached and angry.

Idea

- Ara first met Carmal when he, along with many of the civilians onboard a science and research vessel named the "Wayward Son", fled aboard life-pods, as the research-class cruiser was under heavy attack at the time and likely going to implode. As a gesture of good faith and in the hopes of increasing positive relations with the Intra-Planetary Federation, the Manata queen, Orovox, took in these refugees and cared for them until the IPF was able to dispatch rescue ships to come and collect them and return them safely to their own spaceways. Carmal, not having any real familial ties to any of the survivors he was grouped with, and due to many of the survivors being wary of him, decided to stay behind with Araknox who had quickly managed to befriend him, despite their language barrier. Together they lived on the Manata homeworld until Ara decided one day to abandon their world and with him, snuck aboard a trade ship bound for IPF regulated spaceways. There she somehow gained ownership of a small ship that she dubbed "The Albatross" and started a business taking reclamation work from people who were in need of repossessing objects they'd had stolen from them.

Personality: Easily angered/irritated. Stubborn. Can come across as cold. Does not handle loss well. Reckless use of power. May boast. Can be blunt/harsh. With close friends he is extremely loyal, and would put himself in harms way to protect them. He would never attack someone without cause (though the cause may be petty or stupid.) He would never backstab or betray a friend. He would never purposefully hurt a child or elderly person. However if he thinks someone is terrible and deserves it, he would have no problem causing them harm, or at the very least strife.

Items: Usually keeps his personal belongings onboard Araknox's ship, but when on missions he will carry an energy weapon of some sort with him along with any necessary protective space suit equipment. For more casual outings, he carries a wallet with his currency card and identification card so that he is able to travel freely through the planetary trading belt and make any necessary purchases on any of the planets that the three may stop at.

About: 

  Carmal was found as a young child by a woman named Tera, who was a top member of the scouting and defense crew for the ship she traveled with. He was alone and lost, on one of the many desolate planets that the Reasearch and Carrier ship, the "Wayward Son' had been inspecting on its 3rd deep space voyage. Tera took him in and raised him as her own, after he was unable to connect with any of the other children or parents aboard the vessel. She continued to care for him until the "Wayward Son" was attacked by a rouge fighter vessel and the two were forcefully separated.
  Carmal somehow (eventually) ended up on the planet that Araknox and the rest of the Manata race resided on. He was taken in due to the grace (and mercy) of araknox's mother, the queen of their colony. He was raised to be a servant for araknox, who would eventually inherit the queens place as leader of the colony; however, the two formed a steadfast friendship and considered themselves to be more family than servant and royal. When Ara eventually decided to dissent from her mother's wishes for her, Carmal went with her, and the two traversed the stars together, eventually signing up for a job as "reclaimers." Space theives who could be hired to reclaim stolen goods from bandits, to be returned to the original owner, for a price.
  Eventually they would find their 3rd team mate Akumah, and train him in how to become a proficient reclaimer and in general, how to better survive while traveling across many worlds. The trio might have their disagreements along the way, but they would have each other's backs no matter what, and when trouble decided to rear its ugly head, they would stand by each other, forever, and always.

Extras:
-Carmal is a type of alien that was coloquially known as a "Star Shifter" (a subrace of Astral.) However knowledge of his race has been almost entirely forgotten to many current peoples. Even Carmal himself does not know of the astrals.
-He posseses telekinetic powers and is able to move most things with relative ease. However more massive objects, or very fast moving/forceful objects, he may not be able to manipulate as easily, or even not at all.
-Carmal is mainly carnivorous. Though he can eat a few plant based foods, if he eats a large quantity of them they may make him sick.
-On top of being almost exclusively carnivorous, Carmal is also nocturnal. Though, as he mainly spends most of his time in space rather than on planets, this is not usually much of a hinderance for him unless he has spent a long enough time on a planet to become accustomed to its day/night cycles.
- He considers Ara and 'Mah to be his siblings. Not just friends. He would give his life to protect them.
-the black colored skin on Carmal's body is actually covered with tiny, smooth, matte scales. When his arms phase into claws, the scales grow in size and become much sharper and more prominantly visible.
