Apple lived in the Chao Garden in Station Square. Things were good and the Chao there were taken care of, life was calm. But Apple always wanted to see more of the world than the carefree life in the city garden.

After some odd events he met Mallorie when she accidentally ended up in Station Square. When Apple met Mallorie he knew this was his chance to leave the garden and ended up sneaking out after her. Mallorie then ended up adopting Apple as a companion and has been with her sense.
