The Story This Far...

Life had forever changed for Tea at the age of eighteen when she met the man who would shortly become known to all as her life-long companion. His name was Gray and he was more than twice her age though that did not stop either of them from falling helplessly in love with one another.

She had grown up in a rural area of France, surrounded by the most beautiful landscapes and architecture which one could imagine. Her doting parents were wealthy and did not mind throwing money in support of every endeavor Tea decided to embark upon; because, truly, they came few and far between. With her parents often our of the country on business trips, Tea was far too often feeling lonely - a feeling made more hard to rid herself of because of her home schooled and sheltered lifestyle. She sought out and found comfort and companionship in the stories destined to unfold before her mind's eye as she read novel after novel over the course of many years. Her favorites were the classics and with her love for the Elizabethan and Renaissance age came her love for darker novels involving the supernatural and stories which she knew were too far fetched to be real.

For many years Gray had done business with Tea's mother and father, being that he was an avid business man and eager entrepreneur who had a seemingly endless depth to his wallet. His flashy elegant lifestyle earned him privileged, respect, and eventually the attention of the fanatical girl who accepted no other reality except the one in which Gray was a vampire. It was a reality that the man was very eager to indulge Tea in, finding that his compliance in her delusion earned him her heart even though he was very much not a supernatural being.

Tea's vivid imagination and mental delusions make her world a very fragile one in which Gray does everything that he can to shield her and keep her far from the cruelty of humanity and the diagnoses which she might be given should any psychiatric doctor have an opportunity to spend time with her. She had never longed much for the world outside of her books and has no qualms with being treated to the world-class privacy that Gray's money buys them in his effort to keep her delusion of him alive and well.

Relationships

Gray Lucius Bathory III An affluent Earl with a pension for girls half his age. A cocky and pompous bastard with a soft-spot in his heart for only Tea, whom he covets and protects without regard to the money that he spends to do so. He manages to steal her away from her home and sever every connection which she has with her parents so that only he can be in possession of her gentle affections and complete attention. Gray shamelessly indulges Tea's mental fragility by allowing her to believe that he is the vampire lover that she had always dreamed about.
