Background -Ā

Hazra was born an orphan and never knew his parents. The only reminder of his birth parents was a small emerald necklace that he got long before he could remember that he now uses as an arcane focus. He was raised in the streets, often made to beg, steal and commit other petty crimes because of his small size and innocent appearance.Ā

When he was twelve years old, he was taken in by another Gongji-Ti named Hai Han (Blytheā€™s Hawk Eagle). She was an illegal courier in Penglai and soon introduced Hazra to the profession. The gang was called the XƬnshĒ (Roughly translated it just means ā€˜courierā€™), which roughly Ā He trained alongside her and quickly picked up the trade, honing his agility until he could fly easily through the dense city. His gang consisted of four members: Himself, Han Hai, Arban Gansukh (Crimson Sunbird, M) and Bhako Norbu (Greater Spotted Eagle, M), Zhen Nanchu (Javan myna, F).Ā

He was given his first pistol when he joined the gang and spent his free time constantly tinkering with it and making it better. He learned to infuse his bullets with magic to create even more powerful weaponry. The gang ran mostly illegal and unregistered weapons and magical items, but Bhako soon realized the cash that could be made running drugs. This put them on the radar of their rival group, -- Insert name here --. Hazra was cocky and talked a big game, making fun of and taunting the leader of their rivals, another Gongji-Ti named Rigzin Dava (Jerdonā€™s Beza, M). Rigzin and his gang cornered Hazra one day, confronting him about his operations inside their territory. After mouthing off and brushing off the problem, they attacked him and cut off his wings, leaving him behind to die.

He dragged himself back to his home, severely hurt and bleeding. Han Hai and the gang helped fix him up, but he had to retire for the most part due to his inability to fly. He quickly spiraled into a depression over the next two years, upset at the loss of his wings and his job. He spent much of his time in hiding, tinkering with his guns and occasionally providing ground backup for his gang. In the back of his mind, he constantly thought about seeking revenge on Rigzin for what heā€™d done.Ā

After this two years, he decided to part ways with the gang on good terms and find himself some work, legal or not. He neglected to mention his plans to seek revenge on Rigzin as to not worry anyone. Hazra was still depressed at the loss of his livelihood and his outlook on life was quite low. He knew he needed to change this, so he put on a facade of positivity that continues on to the present. He tends to be overly positive, habitually avoiding any thought of failure. This sometimes causes him to make poor decisions or inadvertently put himself or others in danger. He is now 26 years old.Ā

Han Hai - Hazraā€™s adoptive sister. She took him in when she was 14 and he was 10. She found him picking pockets one day in a marketplace and decided to take him in. She had been squatting in an abandoned building alongside a few other Gongji-Ti. One of them was Bhako Norbu, a large eagle who was both the brains and brawn of their courier operation.

Bhako Norbu - Bhako had been taking care of Han since she was a chick, and when she brought home Hazra, Bhako accepted him with open arms. He had been running the Xinshi Crows for about five years and was passing on his knowledge to Han. He began to train Hazra and became a father to him.Ā
