Nicole Marie Ellery

BACKSTORY

Nicole Ellery is a very unpopular girl at school.  Between her lagging grades, the poverty of her family, and her weight and appearance not matching the "pretty girls", there's a lot that people made fun of her for.  That is, until she became a bully right back, taking a simple path of beating up anyone who insults her.  The only time she's not getting herself into some kind of trouble is during her suspension from school, when she lapses into a mysterious coma.

When Nicole awakens months later, her skin has turned a ghastly pale pallor, and humidity in the air is freezing into snow and ice around her.  This only gets her in more trouble, and enables her to be even more violent.  In desperation, her parents turn to an ambulance-chaser hotline on TV, but just minutes after making the call, armed soldiers come looking for Nicole.  On the run with a few other superpowered teenagers in tow, it's up to them to fight their way up the chain of command and--

PERSONALITY

--blah blah blah, Nicole would have tuned right out way before now.  Besides her undiagnosed attention deficit disorder, Nicole is impatient and impulsive.  While her friends are out to solve the mystery of the soldiers, Nicole only cares insofar as they put up a good fight.  She's perfectly content to be the "brawn" to someone else's "brains", though she has at least some moral compass and won't attack just anyone.  She comes close, though; she'll lash out at friends during a fit of anger or, on a good day, she'll just walk up to her friends and ask if they want to spar.  

Nicole's interests don't wander too far from violence.  She'll watch other people go at it; boxing, MMA, pro wrestling...other sports if they're violent enough, ice hockey and rugby and things like that.  Besides that, though, she has a bit of a one-track mind, because it's those bursts of physical activity that make her feel content, and she can think things through if she mulls them over during a jog or something.  Her sense of humor is scathing and sarcastic, but if you overcome these barriers, what you find is a woman who does genuinely care for the people around her, in her own way.  Just don't let her get too bored.
