A B O U T
Arnie is a young fisherman often found working aboard a ship called Old Blue. To his captain, Julian Haering, fishing and sailing is a way of life, but for Arnie, it's just a job, and one that keeps him quite busy off the docks of Port Roost. He rises before the sun and sails a short ways off shore to help his fellow crew rustle up large crustaceans called clawsnaps, which the ship then totes back to sell at the docks tbleo the high end restaurants and markets of this bustling coastal town. Port Roost is a lively northern city with every amenity imaginable, both humble and extravagant, and the hardy busy folk that live here do so in spite of the chilly weather and frequent rains. It's on one cold rainy day that Arnie, heading home from the morning's work, runs into a cat down on his luck named Dimitrius. They shared an umbrella and some clawsnap subs, and the rest is history. Dimitrius works at his mother's flower shop, and though their schedules don't always align, the two of them formed a fast friendship that eventually grew into a quaint relationship that neither of them were expecting. They're very different people, after all, and few would think a small corgi and a towering forest cat would get along quite so swimmingly, but they always make time for one another and love each other all the same.
P E R S O N A L I T Y
Arnie is a humble, happy sort of fellow with a jovial personality. Some of the other small dogs he works with dislike their tiny statures, but Arnie likes his short, stocky limbs and chubby belly, as it makes him quite huggable. In all honesty, Arnie's main goal is to be pleasant to be around, and it's something he excels at quite well. There are few people who dislike Arnie, though sometimes his eager to please personality can get him into trouble with those that mean to manipulate or take advantage of him. That being said, Arnie isn't exactly a young pup anymore, and life in the city has taught him how to look after himself. He doesn't swear if he can avoid it, preferring ridiculous place holders instead, and for those few times his stress levels finally get to him, he's got his trusty chew toy in the shape of a tennis ball.
