Profile
These are background characters in The Calamity Sequence. They appear or are reference often enough that I wanted to give them designs and descriptions. They are, however, fairly minor characters, so they get piled into one profile.
| Full Name: Marcel Lucien Moreau Age: 20~ in appearance, 117 Birthday: 10/21/1903 Height: 6'1 Other: he/him, gay Marcel is quiet and soft-spoken; he doesn't speak unless he has something to say. He is quite intelligent, and finds the most efficient ways to perform tasks. Marcel is very organized; and he keeps both his home and workspace tidy. Marcel is James' personal assistant, and he keeps the other's affairs all in order. He has a rather wry sense of humor, and he is often subtly snarky and sarcastic towards others. This attitude can get him in trouble, however, when people do pick up on his snark. Marcel is non-confrontational, so he does whatever he can to diffuse those situations when they happen. He actively avoids confrontations too, which leads to a general inability to stand up for himself. Marcel is a bit cowardly; if his current situation seems bad, he's very quick to jump ship instead of dealing with the problem. He's also opportunistic, and always takes the path that is most beneficial to him. As a young adult, Marcel broke a contract he had made with the goddess, Angenam, and was promptly cursed with undeath. Every time he dies, his soul never leaves his body, and he comes back to life; his body restores itself soon after death. This means that if a death was particularly gruesome, he would slowly and painfully regenerate. Marcel is skilled at using telekinesis, which he can use to defend himself if need be. |  |
| Full Name: Selira Malanya Brightfire Age: 20~ in appearance, 2324 Birthday: 8/6/304 BCE Height: 5'11" Other: she/her, bi Selira is a very intelligent and clever person. She's level-headed, too, which is very helpful in tense situations. She is outwardly warm and friendly to others, and is quite the social butterfly. However, it is quite difficult to actually get close to her, as she keeps her emotions, experiences, and plans close to her chest. Selira is incredibly ambitious, and has no qualms with lying to get what she wants. She also often uses others for her own personal gain; she is friendly with nearly everyone in case she may need them for something in the future. When she was human, Selira was a fire elemental, and was very proficient in this magic. Once she became a demon, she learned various other types of magic, like enchanting, illusions, curses, hexes, and creating portals. She specializes in enchantments, and has enchanted all her clothing to augment her magical and physical abilities. She is the distant ancestor of Selira Samra Brightfire, who was named after her. |  |
