HISTORY

• Carnation came to be at the demand of the Akhrym family, whose wealth and notoriety in the weaponsmithing field was well known across the region. She was assigned to care for the family’s matriarch: Asphodel, who dedicated her retirement years to charity and encouraging environmental awareness. Carnation quickly became something akin to a daughter for Asphodel— or “Dell,” as she likes to be called— and Carnation developed the same deep care for nature. However, the same could not be said for Dell’s biological son, the inheritor of the family’s wealth and smithing school.
• Carnation blames him for everything. Out of nowhere, he revealed that all of the family’s wealth was gone. Siphoned behind everyone’s backs, even his own wife and children, and wasted on frivolous expenses. The house that Dell lived in would have to be sold, and she would be forced to move in with her son. Heartbroken by all that she learned, Dell’s heart was just too weak to go on. The day before she was scheduled to leave her home, Dell passed away at Carnation’s side, surrounded by nature in her greenhouse. Carnation had never experienced heartbreak of this magnitude, and it leads her to make some very rash decisions. First, she takes the deed to the house and Dell’s prized cane. Second, she leaves before the son arrives the next day, with the intent to make enough money that she can buy the house under her own name. Dell‘s legacy does not deserve to die this way.
