Personality: 

Backstory: Icicle's life started out the same as any other icewing, other then her being a princess. though most days she didnt feel like one.. her mother Denali didnt seem to care about anyone other then Blizzard, Icicle's older sister. even if she was only a couple days older, Denali treated blizzard as if she was to be worshipped but treated icicle and their brother as if they barely existed unless they did something wrong. once they made a mistake they got scolded heavily.. and lectured about how royals should act. This gave Icicle a horrible self image. One day the queen found out that icicles brother was showing affection to a commoner, a low ranked nobody and they both got the talks and reminders about how the royal line must stay pure. These lectures made icicle even more careful with who she talked to and interacted with, afraid her mother would accuse her of the same thing. Icicle wasn't a rule breaker herself.. she always did her best to do as she was told and fixed any mistakes she made by talking her way out. she wasn't much of a talker outside of that, but no one knew because of how well she made small talk when needed. she was the perfect picture of a royal princess that wasn't the royal heir. She enjoyed writing in her free time. When the offer came to watch the new sandwing queen diamondback be coronated, she got so excited. it would be the first time the entire royal family was invited to an event rather then just the queen and heir. Icicle made sure to be extra good the entire week leading up to it so that her mother would have no reason to keep her back like what happened for a few events before. When the day came the entire family flew until their wings hurt, and still flew some more. the ceremony was beautiful and she even made some friends outside of her own tribe.. until the accusations came. the world was devided into siding with them, against them or neither and she was confused. the same skywings that were looking at them weird during the sandwing ceremony were with them, but the nightwings that had been so kind were against them? the flight back home was fast and tense, blizzard and denali kept talking quietly amongst each other. Blizzard kept telling their mother that this was nothing to wage a war over, and denali kept saying that the icewing name was more important. Icicle felt sorry for the soldiers that would have to fight a senseless war.. over the pride of her mother had for the tribe. Icicle's lessons changed from etiquette and poise to how to defend herself if they got raided, how to plan battles and strategies. She was eventually told she would be visiting the sky kingdom and she felt conflicted. on one talon she was excited to experience another new kingdom, but after what happened the last time.. she didn't really want to relive that again. she was told that she was to stay there as an ambassador but kept getting words of congratulations in the palace halls before she left.. that was suspicious since before she barely got as much as a second glance before. It was the day she was to fly out that she was told by a friend that they were sorry they wouldnt make it to her wedding, something about her dragonet got sick and wouldnt be able to make the fly.. wedding? was that what was happening? whatever mother wanted she figured.. but why in the skywing kingdom? The flight was long and boring to her, no one with her other then a few guards who enjoyed the quiet just as much as she did. When she arrived she was greeted by Queen Zincite and the heir to the throne Falcon, and next to them stood a curious looking skywing. The curious fire dragon was Condor, the skywing queens oldest son and the dragon whom she was supposed to marry. Marry.. a skywing? the queen was very polite when she explained it, and in general seemed more understanding and kind then her own mother so icicle just smiled softly and nodded along as if she already knew this information.. as if she wasn't panicking on the inside. She was shown to her room and told the ceremony would be within the next couple of days as long as the weather allowed it, and allow it the weather did. it seemed the weather was always perfect here.. no blizzards or sleet like what icicle was used to at home. She was free to roam and do as she wished said the queen, and Condor was personally in charge of making sure every need icicle had was met. They were to be married soon after all. Condor seemed the opposite of icicle, always willing to fill the silence with something. he told her many things in the coming days, what it was like to grow up in the skywing palace, the histories she was never taught, the important dragons she would probably want to know since they're grumpy old hags. He always seemed to be in a good mood and always saw the bright side in things if something went wrong. she found herself liking his presence more then she thought she would, as she usually enjoyed the quiet of being alone. She told him of her life, the things she learned, and how different the ways of the tribes was. When she spoke of being treated ill as if it was normal, he seemed to get upset. His mother treated all of her children well, not just the heir so the way Denali treated Icicle was outlandish to him. he promised her that she would never be treated that way again as long as he lived, and she saw in his eyes that he meant it. the day of the ceremony came and she was dressed in silver and sapphire that made her shine even more then she did before. When she spotted condor she noticed that he was dressed in gold and rubies, opposite of her yet decorated the same. It was as if the skywings wanted to celebrate the unique pairing even if it was for alliance purposes. When they got close enough she she heard him tell her that she was beautiful, and that no one could match her beauty on this day even if they tried.. which put Icicle in an even better mood. The party held both icewings and skywings, though her family mostly stayed on the poised chairs that the skywing's had prepared for them. Her family didnt say a word to her on her wedding day, or the day they stayed after that. in fact they left without saying anything as well. But icicle didnt care, she had a new family, and that was Condor and queen Zincite because they made her feel more welcome and more at ease then she ever had even in the middle of a senseless war. months pass and Icicle realizes she is with egg, and condor couldnt be more overjoyed. Icicle gets egg bound however, and the skywing's medic does everything they can but they have to cut the eggs out. Icicle survives but has a large scar over her lower abdomen, and wants no more batches of eggs after that horror show. From the three eggs come Skyfrost, Frozenfire, and Frostburn. Three children that couldnt be any more different from each other, yet she loved them all the same. when she became a mother she couldnt forgive queen Denali for treating her as she had, because to Icicle all three of these children held her heart. she and condor taught them the way each tribe did things and let them choose where to live at, though icicle was hoping her children would choose to stay with her in the skywing kingdom. When skyfrost chose her hometribe she worried day and night about how he would be treated and how things would go.. but condor calmed her every time she started to worry. he reminded her that their children were strong, and that skyfrost was the most hardy of all of them and he would be perfectly fine. when she offered to go with skyfrost back to the ice kingdom condor quickly shut the idea down, telling her that she would get treated even worse then their child if she went as she had tainted her mother's perfect bloodline. When skyfrost left she was filled with worry once again, but her other two children kept her busy by taking her places and doing things. she would get letters from her son often, and when he joined the icewing army Frostburn decided to join the skywing army at the same time. This nearly made Icicle have a heart attack, two of her own children in the war? Condor held her as she watched her second son fly away, her heart shattering as she wouldnt know if either of them would be okay. Icicle didn't learn of skyfrost's rushed marriage until after Celsius was already brooding her eggs, and the thought of her mother marrying off her son without her knowledge drove her crazy. When Caribou and -- hatched she invited the two to the skywing palace so she could get to know them.. and what she learned nearly made her explode with fury. Celsius hadn't known skyfrost before, and had only a few weeks with him before he was sent back to the front lines. From what this icewing told icicle, skyfrost hadn't cared for her intimately but did as he needed to care for her physically. Celsius also brought the news that skyfrost was captured, and that Denali was doing nothing about it. Even Condor got furiated at that, and they marched over to queen Zincite to demand a rescue. Queen zincite seemed sorrowful as she told them that they had no dragons to spare, and their own forces were being captured left and right. Icicle kept Celsius and her dragonets near throughout the end of the war, especally when her sister blizzard was named queen. When Skyfrost came back with a sandwing hybrid.. icicle rejoiced. Not only had he come back alive but he had found someone that he cared for, and that was all a mother could ask for. Frostburn returned soon after and was greeted with just as much rejoice, him toting his own skywing looking lover. Icicle, Condor and Frozenfire welcomed the soldiers back happily and updated them on what they missed, and skyfrost seemed upset when Celsius was mentioned. He promised he would give her anything she needed but he couldnt be her husband, though he could be as much of a father as he could to the dragonets. Celsius declined and spat on his talons as she took her dragonets back to the ice kingdom, declaring him a traitor to their vows and a figure she did not want around her children. Icicle and Frozenfire saw to it Celsius still got the things Skyfrost sent to her though, she cared for her grandchildren though she didnt get to see them. Eventually all settled down and all three of her children were happily married in their own homes.. Skyfrost to moonlight, Frostburn to Sunshower, and frozenfire to Celsius.. and it was back to just Condor and icicle.  Icicle didnt mind the peace. Back to condor filling the silence with his words and Icicle writing to fill her time as she got older. Her favorite times became sunset when Condor would come find her and lead her outside to watch the beautiful view, yet he wouldnt take his eyes off of her. their family get togethers got larger and larger every year, new dragonets hatching and dragons joining the family by vow. Icicle wouldnt trade it for the world though. this was her life, and she was happy to be living it.
