Personality
As a massuist, Noir is gentle, responds easily to the customer's preferences — whether it be to talk a lot or massage in silence — and can almost be considered charming; it seems to be the most effective ruse in getting the customer to come back. In this "mode," he speaks when spoken to and easily lets out soft chuckles. He's not intimidating in the least while at the salon, and warm smiles often grace his features, an expression most of his family seems to have; whether these smiles are real or not is debatable, but hey, at least the customer buys it.

As a performer, Noir is fierce and allows passionate energy to roll of him in waves. If the audience is into that sort of show, it can come off as quite sensual, which is basically what his contractors are aiming for, obviously. He's definitely not one to kiss-and-tell, considering the double-life he lives.

As himself, Noirmere may come off as easily irritable, but that's just a natural reaction from living with so many younger brothers. He has walls around himself, but it's not hard to chip away at them. Looking past it, he's a softie and easily gives in to those that he adores. He doesn't smile a lot, per say, but he always gives off exasperated sighs, which are very much fake and only for hiding his amusement and fondness; the Umbreon is incredibly loyal to those he is close to and may be protective if he views the other as a younger sibling sort. If someone he values gets hurt, he has the tendency to feel guilty, even if it wasn't his fault, due to an event that occurred with his brother, Laurel. Around his romantic partner, should a relationship be established, he adopts a gentler undertone in his words and actions.

History
Noir grew up in the lovely city of Pastoria, where his parents — Glossamere and Benemere — owned a ranch sat atop a large acre of meadow. He was the second in their first litter of two, along with his to-be-Espeon brother, Laurel, making him the second oldest out of all the Eeveelutions that were to follow. They lived a rather peaceful life, where each of the sons were allowed to evolve at will as soon as they were of age; unsurprisingly, they all chose to be different evolutions, each having their own personality that suited themselves best. Noir, who came off as the most grumpy — though that's totally just an exterior — matched up with the stereotypical Umbreon perfectly. Along with the other seven of his brothers, he learned about the world around them from their parents and trained on his own time, sometimes together, sometimes alone. He worked hard leveling up, as he stood the tallest among everyone, so he felt responsible for everyone's safety; the eldest Laurel, was always by his side, adopting a more caring role for their younger brothers.

As time flew by and all of the brothers had evolved, their parents came home one day from a scavenging trip for roots, berries, and fish, with an egg; it was obvious that it was an Eevee egg, due to its mottled brown and beige design, and the two just couldn't help but feel obligated to take care of it, as it seemed that the original parents were nowhere to be found. And that's how their youngest brother, Fayre the Sylveon joined their family.

Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and it was time for the family's usual trip to Lake Valor, a journey they made often as the sons loved to train, frolic, or just relax by the lakeside. This time, however, there was the issue of Fayre, who was still too young and inexperienced to make the trip, so Noir volunteered to stay behind and take care of the little guy while the others left for the trek. The parents decided to make a trip elsewhere and enjoy some alone time, so that left the Umbreon alone with the youngest member of their family, not that he minded in the least. Years of putting up with his five other younger brothers had prepared him well.

The others left early in the morning, so Noir woke up to empty nests, the sun just about a third of the way up the sky; he wasn't a heavy sleeper, but he assumed that they left quietly to avoid waking him. Fayre was still sleeping as he went about performing daily tasks, entertaining the little Sylveon once he'd woken up. Everything seemed fine, until suddenly, around noontime, he felt a strong, piercing pain overtake his mind, and darkness fell all around him. Letting out a yelp of surprise, the Umbreon fell to the ground, clawing at it, with a shocked Fayre flitting about him nervously, not knowing what to do. Noir somehow knew that the blackness was a result of something bad happening to Laurel, probably because the two of them shared the strongest bond. The pain quickly receded, but he didn't know how much time passed before his eyes could see again. When he'd gotten his wind back and fully placated his littlest brother, the others were already returning, a now-blind Espeon walking hesitantly among them. One look at Misumere's unmatched eyes, one orange — the Vaporeon's original eye color — and one purple — Laurel's eye color — told him all he needed to know.

Because of this event, the family sent Laurel off with a family friend of theirs, the Raque family, who said they knew of other blind Pokemon who would be able to help Laurel with his blindness, leaving Noir the oldest and in charge, so all responsibility fell upon his shoulders. Though his older brother had reassured him that everything would be fine and that the Umbreon would be able to handle everything, Noir was not so sure; he blamed himself for not being there to protect the Espeon and even after he'd gone, every time Noir looked at Misu's mismatched eyes, everything would come back to him at once. He held out for as long as he could, but in the end, he knew he just needed time away from all of this.

Of course, his parents respected his decision, sending him off with warm hugs and sweet kisses; while his brothers were sad to see him go, they reassured Noir that they would watch over Glossa and Bene in his place, which filled the bittersweet goodbyes with laughter as the Umbreon took off into the wild. After much wandering and traversing foreign lands, he found himself in the Kalos region, a place he'd heard had only just been discovered. Curious, but cautious, he ventured into the region and found himself in the bustling Lumiose City, filled with people and Pokemon darting about. He wasn't sure what he'd walked into, but seeing the tame Pokemon walking peacefully with their trainers by their side piqued his interest, as he'd only ever watched humans from afar before, not wanting to be caught and separated from his family by any of them. Noir dearly hoped that they would think he was already owned by someone and not attempt to capture him, so he strolled along as casually as possible.

Noir spent days in and around the city before finally stumbling upon other ferals, who had peculiar devices with them. They introduced him to the Dittech device, informing him that it could change him into a human, allowing him to live amongst those residing in Lumiose City, something the Umbreon was definitely interested in. What didn't interest him as much was the fact that there were factions among the incognito Pokemon, and he politely declined to partake in their gang, Ursa something or the other, though he did not completely reject the offer. After sneaking about, observing, and acute calculations, Noir was able to land his paws on one of the machines and gained a Pokehuman form, which he now wears comfortably, establishing a life in the city.
