Marriage

• When they marry, they don't wear wedding rings, but tattoo each other's bites.
• The wedding ceremony is very simple and intimate :
  • The two people are alone and make promises to each other
  • They simultaneously bite the right side of each other's necks
  • Then they join the two tattoo artists and lie down so that they can look into each other's eyes

Pregnancy

• Jamavian women cannot transform when pregnant
• Obviously, pregnant women who are part of the army can't go off to war and can't train 'cause fight are really violent sometimes, but they need to move so they become huntress for a few months
• If the father is part of the army, he can't go off to war too, it would be stressful for the mother to know her partner can die, he can still train
• They have the right to have an abortion if they want but they're some rules :
  • They have to discuss about it with the pamla (the healer)
  • After the discussion, the pregnant woman has generally one week of reflexion except in exceptional cases (in general, they use this delay to speak about it with their partner)
  • After the one week delay, the pamla can give measured dose of poison that provoc a miscarriage, the woman will be really sick after that.
  • The genitor can't impose the chose on his partner, it's her body so her choice
  • They have to take the poison with the pamla around them in the case something is wrong.
  • They have to be escorted by the partner or a friend to go home as they'll be really feel bad after that
• They don't give birth lying on their backs.
• If the parents belong to two different species, the child will belong to one of them. Sometimes it skips a generation.

Ancestor ceremony

• Takes place every year on June.
• This is one of the rare occasions when all aquatic Jamavians rise to the surface
• All Jamavians gather at the center of the island at the obelisk of the ancients.
• Under 18 years old, they have drawings made with mud :
  • Visible regardless of skin color
  • The drawings are lines on their arms, shoulders, ribs, and faces.
  • The number of lines correspond with their ages
  • Males and females don't have the same face and ribs lines
• They wear what their ancestors wore, such as animal skins and bones.
• Adults wear feathers in their hair

Cemetery

• Gravestones are partially buried boxes inscribed with the names of the deceased
• The deceased's belongings are kept in this box
• Cemeteries don't have a sad atmosphere; they are very floral.

Bat-eared fox

• They have very good hearing (they can hear a baby's heartbeat).

Black panther

• It's just a leopard with melanism.
• Stains are visible (pattern here)

Cheetah

• Generally run fast but don't last long (use Run, Got away safely!)

Drake

• They tend to have trouble dressing because of their horns and often wear wide V-necks.
• They sometimes transform only their black arms instead of their whole body.
• They can control their snakes and see through their eyes.
