I won’t say much about his planet of origin’s civilization, but his race of alien are specifically carnivores, and come from a planet with little to no plant life. All the animals are carnivores down to the tiniest bugs which eat space dust that falls down from the moon and is too small for many creatures to see without, like, a microscope. It’s nutritious to the bugs, and the bugs also cannibalize their kind so. It’s a very carnivorous planet to say the least. Astrid likes the earth fruit aesthetic.
