Finch is a laid-back scientist with a curiosity for how things work. His passion for learning is what made him become a space-explorer on his home planet, and now that he lives on earth he has endless new things to discover. He gets absorbed in discovery, from hiking and exploring nature to combining chemicals in his home lab. He's quite enthusiastic about his interests, and he's good at them too.
When meeting other people, Finch can be a bit shy or awkward, and this is amplified on earth because he is a stranger to human culture. His actions may come off as quirky or strange, but he means no harm. He is laid back, friendly, and open, although he gets a little nervous when he has to make friends. He is also a serious romantic, painfully yearning for his best friend, but he isn't really familiar with how relationships work in human society. He also cannot really make a move because of his undercover job, and this causes him a lot of emotional turmoil. | Backstory
Finch was born on another planet and is part of one of many alien societies that exist in the galaxy. He was a scientist sent on a galactic mission to explore space, but due to technology in satellites orbiting earth, his ship malfunctioned and he crashed on our planet. Luckily for him, ERASE members found him and recovered him before BAC could capture him for their experimentation. ERASE rehabilitated him and provided him a residence while he healed, and once he had recovered, they offered him a work position. Finch accepted, and chose to take a low-key job that didn't involve violence or danger. He was assigned a job in which he would get close to and monitor a well known alien enthusiast and Ufologist, Florian.
Finch relocated and started working at a diner that Florian frequented in order to observe the man and keep an eye on him. They struck up a friendship, as Finch was instructed to do, and they began spending time together. Much to Finch's dismay, he found himself genuinely enjoying Florian's company and began to develop feelings for him. The two of them cluelessly mutually pine for each other. Florian tells Finch all of his theories, which get dangerously close to the truth, and Finch's job is to prevent him from actually finding out.
SUMMARY: Crash landed on earth but was recovered by ERASE > Started working for them, and took a position in which he would monitor a notoriously smart Ufologist, Florian > He works as a waiter at a diner that Florian often goes to > Over time they formed a friendship and started mutually pining. |
