mentor: redstar, frigidflight

beechpaw was equal parts scared and excited/honored when redstar chose her as an apprentice, and becoming an apprentice at the height of wartime is overwhelming already, and then 3 moons later you watch your leader and mentor lose a life and your clan lose the war. applescar is back- she was a role model to you as a kit, and she was so nice to you and your littermates, she's your cousin, she was redstar's apprentice, too, but then she defected. she blamed your mentor for her father and  brothers' deaths (your uncle and cousins), she started publicly denouncing him and thunderclan's place in the war, and then she was taken away to windclan. she's terribly injured but limping determinedly around helping other cats. she fought against thunderclan in this battle. but redstar attacked his own littermate, his own healer, first. kind of an insanely abrupt wake-up call for someone whos the equivalent of like. 15 or 16. and then redstar steps down, and redfoot isnt your mentor anymore. you got reassigned to his sister. frigidflight is imposing and she hates redfoot but she's never mean or angry towards you specifically. and then redfoot dies. applestrike kills him in self defense. he was never good, he was always a warmongering manipulator and he tried to kill your cousin and then applestrike says she's leaving. she's leaving the clans entirely and soon you'll never see her again, either. eaglestar names you beechpool, almost as if she's wishing you peace.
