About

Modest, Flirty, Caring, Welcoming, Kind, Warm, Humorous

Lola is very sweet and loves to talk to people while she does their hair. She always looks after people, and she tries her best to make people feel comfortable and welcome.  She is actually very modest and quite shy, but she loves to be around people too much and she gets excited around them. She's very eager to please. Although she wants to make people happy, she's used to dealing with unhappy people and takes criticism and insults quite well.  She'll usually give a polite nod in response and offer back an intelligent response with a smile on her face. She's pretty closed off to people she isn't close with about personal details about her own life, but she will sit and listen to your problems all day. It's a heavy burden to bear, but she doesn't mind it so much any more since she has more support in her life now.

Story

Lola just turned 30, and she's at the peak for her life / career. She is one of the best performers at the club because her confidence really comes out on the stage / helps others look beautiful.

Lola is from an old fashioned family with strict ideas. It didn't help that they lived in a small, conservative town that wasn't used to much diversity either. They stood out like a sore thumb in her home town for not conforming to her families' or her town's expectations.  But her family always tried to grin and bear it and make do. Conforming was what Lola was taught from a very young age on. which made her grown very introverted and closed-off. Her dad had a lot of expectations for her too, trying to teach her how to be a proper, stoic man. Her mom held the same expectations too. No one in town understood either. not even her school friends. When she was 16, she left home and ran all the way to London immediately. She found sanctity in the nightlife there after meeting a drag queen named Louise, who was far more experienced in the ways of the big city and in the ways of gender expression.

They ended up becoming friends (slightly more than friends) and opened a beauty salon together. Lola is the hairstylist there during the day, and they both work a drag club at nights (Poppin' Cherries Drag Club). It took her a while to gain the confidence she has now, so for a long time she only worked the salon. But Louise eventually dragged her to the club, where she'd usually only go as a customer, but now she preforms.
