Sven is a successful freelance character designer. He makes his money doing commissions and customs. He’s super nice and uwu, really popular among furries and closed species communities. He’s super nice and professional to everybody because he’s afraid of losing his clout and income. 

He’s always the first to know the drama, and the last to actually partake in gossip. He’s too worried about his image to ever bring his personal drama to the public eye, but he isn’t afraid to publicly blacklist abusers. 

He’s extremely loyal to his friends, and if he finds out somebody mistreated someone he cares about, he’ll get really snakey and shit on their reputation in subtle ways rather than confronting them directly. If it does come down to confrontation, he is aggressively sweet to the person to avoid ever coming off as harsh or unreasonable. 

Even though he’s outwardly sweet and generally kind and fair, he is sincerely self centered and arrogant. He only does things that will benefit him, or someone he cares about. If he decides to do something that does not directly benefit him, it is usually only because he thought the situation was unjust without intervention. 

He tends to be an underhanded and manipulative person,  primarily due to mental illness. He was always deeply frustrated by his inability to grow into a strong, masculine person, so he weaponized his soft appearance and demeanor to make up for it. He doesn’t think any of friends would still like him if they knew he was secretly a bitter, obsessive person. Because he can’t reconcile his friends’ perceptions of him with his true identity, he looks at all of his friendships as shallow and transactional. He doesn’t believe that people stay together for any reason other than their own personal gain. 

Despite this, his kind and attentive behaviour earns him loyalty and love from his friends, who would surely love him just the same if they learned he felt no empathy and had a hard time understanding their emotional motivations for liking him. 

The only exception to his difficulties with interpersonal relationships is his childhood friend Ilya. They were neighbors, and because their fathers were close friends, spent a lot of time together. Sven idolized him as the only person who understood him as a child, and loved him despite his flaws. He became obsessed with keeping Ilya close to him, and sabotaged the attempts of others to engage Ilya romantically. He knows everything about his best friend, and has been spending years of their friendship trying to endear Ilya to him so they can be together forever. 

He is fiercely protective of Ilya, and will use any means necessary to keep him safe and happy, including manipulating their friends, and sabotaging anybody he deems unfit to be around him.
