His antennae are actually chive stalks, which give off the onion-y smell attributed to chives. Because of this, many Mothcats avoid him. Since he usually by himself, he has taken the habit of reading books and documenting all things Mothcats-related. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Chive has written all of the books that cover Mothcats history, legends, culture, etc!
The one Mothcat that Chive considers his "friend" is Honey. While she does her best to hide it, Honey very clearly feels uncomfortable around Chive's onion smell. However, she's the only one who really tries to keep him company and will occasionally bring him gifts. Chive treasures these gifts as if they were bestowed upon him by the Goddess, Falena, herself. (Needless to say, he has quite the obvious crush on her, but Honey is very oblivious to this. He's been swept away by a very zesty boy.)
When not reading or writing history books, Chive likes to write poetry.
Chive is a polite tomcat who lives by a strict moral code. He treats everyone with respect, even if they don't always treat him the same way. He speaks with a very slight stutter and can sometimes be seen practicing random speeches in order to fix it. Chive is about three years old.
